I read a few weeks back that with the economy in such bad shape the casino project is on hold. I wish I could remember where I read it, I've been searching the internet but can't find the article.

Originally the casino was set for a 2010 opening......I haven't heard anything since. I don't gamble and I don't like huge crowds usually, but when I heard they were building it, I was intrigued. I've never been to that area and thought it would be a cool vacation destination some day.

Biloxi cannot handle the crowds.... I'm stationed in Biloxi... trust me on this one.

Remember pholks.... Biloxi is STILL REBUILDING from Katrina in 2005.... they are NO WHERE near the standards they were pre-Katrina.... and it will take years of construction to try to get to that pace. Yes the Casinos are open.... that is the only real tourism money coming into the coast.
