Foreign Accent Syndrome

What will they come up with next. Although I sort of believe it, strange but true. I would have been skeptical if there wasn't medical proof.

Saw a report on TV about that yesterday.
Said that the original "accent" never comes back. The people they interviewed had a positive attitude about it. Said there were worse things that could happen to them.

My nephew has never been formally diagnosed with FAS, but one day (just like in the newscast) he began speaking with a foreign accent - not quite British, but not quite Australian. At first everyone thought he was doing it to attract attention, but even in his sleep he would use it. It doesn't really affect much now that everyone is used to it, but it is interesting to see (hear) others with it. With all that, he's probably still the most normal of everyone in the family
