Past years many of the fires were in somewhat remote areas with a few homes sprinkled around, these fires are in very populated areas. Just saw a newscast of the Yorba Linda fire. The T.V. newscaster said if you live in Yorba Linda to evacuate,....the population of that town is 64 thousand. That's a lot of people.......
Thank you. These fires are all many miles from us, but it's still creepy.flipflopgirl wrote:((((((((((((((((((((Sally)))))))))))))))))))) stay safe!!!!Salukulady wrote:Have been following these fires all day. I call bullsh!t on that. No one even knows the origin of the fires other than it was a classic Santa Ana/red flag condition. Determining origin and cause are so far down the line right now...saving people and property is the only goal for now. Sounds to me like a bunch of bloggers looking for some attention are trying to stir the pot.AmerigoJoe wrote:Aside from the devastation, its sad that some reports and blogs are indicating that the fires were set in response to Proposition 8. Others are indicating that it is God's response, comparing California to Sodom and Gomorrah. I certainly hope that the fires weren't set and wish the focus could be on repairing the lives of those of have been so drastically shaken.
I agree wholeheartedly, why can't the attention be on putting lives and homes back together, but some people have to work their agenda into everything.Brown Eyed Girl wrote:I call bullsh!t on that.
