Nope. There's not enough rum in all of the islands to get me to tell that story again.bufitonmybmw wrote:Well, well, well.....LTNS.frozen bird wrote:what she said.bufitonmybmw wrote:![]()

Not going to regale the pholks with the tale of the protected sea grass?
Well, maybe there is, but until it arrives on my doorstep....

Well...
I ran into him at a Waffle House once. It was 3:30 AM.
Talked with him about women, money and life in general. He gave me a back rub that lasted about 45 minutes.
He had this book of 14th century poetry which he asked if he could read to me. I told him I didn't mind.
After we left the Waffle House we went to an all night movie theatre and caught a flick.
By morning time we were both really tired so we hit up a convenience store for some energy drinks. The clerk on duty recognized him and gave us the Red Bulls on the house.
Finally we crashed and he was gone. It was pretty wild. I found a note pinned to my sleeve.

I had just listened to that show on my Ipod a couple of weeks ago, and heard Jimmy call the winner on stage, but didn't realize it was lilsalty's CDIII!! Super cool indeed!

I was two rows ahead of you, far right, three seats in from the right side of the aisle.LIPH wrote:My seat at the Jones Beach show back in August was on the far left, stage right, in the orchestra section and I was right on the aisle about 5 feet from the bay. When the band leaves the stage that's the aisle they use to get out. Jimmy walked right by me and I shook his hand. At last year's Paris show I was in the front row and Jimmy stayed onstage after the show signing autographs. He signed my ticket. But I never "met" him and honestly, I don't really care if I ever do. Meeting him won't change my life. Not meeting him won't be the end of the world. I'd much rather meet Jessica Alba.

Jimmy bought me a beer once in Maryland.
Of course he owed me since he spilled the one I was drinking all over me.
To his credit, he did apologize profusely.*
* this is an absolutely true story

I've listened to that show many times, never knew it was CD III. As an aside, I've met him a couple or 3 times and he's a nice guy and all that. But adorable? I think not.docandjeanie wrote:Wow, did not know this, I need details, pm me pleaselilsalty wrote:ContinentalDrifterIII (my adorable husband) got the chance to be on stage with him, when he won the raffle trip to Key West at the East Hampton '01 show!
