I would have posted this and felt the same way whether it was Sarah Palin or anybody else. Unfortunately, it was her. The point is the irony of someone doing a pardon interview in front of the unpardoned aas well as having a good laugh at one's own hypocracy.
Obviously you don't get it. Have you noticed how many BN'ers are no longer posting? Do you REALIZE how many really good people are NO LONGER here to share in this community because crap like this? Have you noticed how divisive the campaign was to this "community?" Did you notice that for some folks this is personal? Did you ever think that even if you laughed hard enough you p*** yourself that JUST MAYBE in the "big picture" it just might be better NOT to post something like this? Hope you had a good laugh. That's freakin' hysterical!
I didn't post this because I found it funny. Quite the opposite. As I believe I said, this would have been posted no matter who it was. Anyone who takes this personally needs to seriously chill out. The election is over. Breathe in, breathe out, move on.

It's not about the results of the election but the values others have. If this was some almost any other person it would be a non issue. Honestly, tell me you did not think it was funnier because it was Sarah Palin. As for , "chilling out," do a BN search on Sarah Palin. Read the post and you tell me is after the fact you think she was treated with any respect or fairness.

Ever read any book by Anne Lamott? One of the most imnportant things I ever learned in church was to respect the feelings and faith of others, even if it's in total disagreement of yours. I'll be very interested on how you feel about this era and these events when you hit 50. I wonder how important this will really be to you. Sorry Brad, I really expected more from you. I expected so much more. My bad.

Again, it's not about the election results. It's all about the respect one shows to another person. Just go back and read the posts and think what it would be like if you just happened to be one of the few that did not fall in line with the staus quo. I'm pretty sure there hasn't been any postings about, "OBAMA IS NOT MY PRESIDENT!" from those that did not support him during the general election. Don't you think that's sort of ironic compared to the way the Dems responded to a Bush win?

I didn't find the video funny at all; I found it pretty awful. Yes, I eat meat, and yes, I eat turkey but I just don't think it is necessary or appropriate for anyone to conduct an interview that is being videotaped, while standing in front of animals being killed. That just strikes me as not exercising good judgment.

I'm not sure BN should be too proud we can turn into the current version of Lord of The Flies and treat other peeps the way we do because we don't like thier thoughts and posts. Funny how we can attest to tolerance as long as I agree.

This has nothing to do with respect or disrespect. She made a funny I laughed. It happens all day long. Just like a million videos on the internet everyday. And second you don't know crap about me, my life, or my ministry and if me enjoying her faux pas makes you think less of me I could honestly care less. Sorry chief.

I think that anybody who chooses to stop posting here because the election results did not please them has to remember what country we are in, and what it stands for... freedom of expression.
Don't like the message? ...change the channel

There are a TON of threads that I DON'T participate in here. They simply do not interest me.
I would not for one second enter a thread that I do not want to participate in, and suggest that they stop their discussion.
That would represent the OPPOSITE of the freedom we cherish. It would be a call for censorship.

As for Sarah Palin, if she wants to keep sticking her dumb snoot in front of cameras for "photo ops", I'll continue to comment on the ensuing "controversy" and continue to derive pure amusement from it.

Hail, Hail... United States of America

more importantly, can my Chargers beat the Colts again?? 8)
I hate to say it but your charges S U C K! :P Bring back Fouts, Munci and Joiner 8)

I'm pretty sure your sharp enogh to realize there are peeps that will do ANYTHING to make Palin look as bad as she can possibly look. I'm pretty sure if someone wanted to go thoeugh the trouble of Googling , "Obama Gaffes," everyday we could start a whole new thread each and every day about just how nasty we as AMerican are regarding politics.

Be of good cheer LB, the Bolts should finish above the Raiders :P

Why did these great people quit posting? Was there a lack of respect for the thoughts and feelings of others way back before the election? Is BN incapable of having a dialog of conflicting ideas? Why would, "great people," quit posting here?

I know the reasons why a few quit. I'm not telling you or anyone else because that would be betraying a confidence. Some others - I've heard rumors. Not going to tell those either. I know people that are offended by something posted here on almost a daily basis; not because of anything "political" and they don't leave. Some have left or restricted their posting because of the offending posts - again I emphasize not political. My point is that you don't know for 100% sure that everyone quit because of "crap like this". Yeah you may know a few that maybe did but the simple fact is that people quit discussion forums for a myriad of reasons. People leave, some people come back. You just can't make a blanket statement like that and it be true. BN is like a family and I have yet in my over 1/2 century on this planet to have ever encountered a family that is in total harmony 100% of the time.

TR, I sincerely say this with all the respect in the world, you need to not take this so personally. It was about her behavior more than it was about who she is. Sometimes things are meant to be taken at face value.

As for feelings being hurt, yes, a lot of feelings were hurt, including mine. Yet, I continue to post. For those who chose to participate in the political debates and found it to be too much, well, those who can't take the heat should shouldn't keep climbing in the oven.
