Mozart! Karajan!

Post by bestseller92 »

As I peruse the board this evening I'm listening to Mozart's Symphony No. 40 in G minor, conducted by the legendary Herbert von Karajan.

I am fairly new to Mozart -- for most of my forty years it was just a name associated with classical music. But in the last couple I've discovered the man and begun to recognize his genius. I still can't, and probably won't ever be able to or have the inspiration to, dissect classical music and tell anyone its meaning or go on about its complexity. But, as the saying goes, I know what I like when I listen to it, and I've begun to like Mozart a lot.

Here's to Wolfgang and Herbert, making beautiful music and enriching the world.

Is that the one that's in a 5 disc set called 9 Symphonien (or someting like that?). If so, yeah, that's some good stuff.
