After the Labor Day show, I talked to a few people about getting together. Since winter has arrived (20 degrees and the hockey game IS on here), I figured I'd put this out there to give us something to keep us all warm...at least in our heads.

Rocky Gap State Park

Looks like there is a family campsite with a small cabin & a bunch of camping sites. maximum of 40 people. I'm calling dibs on the cabin, being as it's my idea!!!! I'm thinking maybe a long weekend. Get there on Friday night, leave Sunday. There's a lake with a little beach nearby. Those of us who play instruments can bring them....adult beverages to be served....charcoal grills a'plenty. Might even be talked into brining the big gril & doing up some barbecue. This would be a mostly family friendly event.


$450 for the weekend, for the whole group. Anyone interested???? They open just before Memorial Day. I'm thinking 1st or 2nd week of June.

OMG that sounds great!!! It's always hard to wait for Parrothead season, and this would be a great way to get it started in MD! How many does the site hold? Is there a picnic shelter?

Not sure exactly how the group camp is set up, but we should be able to bring enough tables & chairs & such to get by without a pavilion.

There's a good size lake...fishing, swimming, boating. Golf course on the other side of the lake. Hiking trails. Pretty neat area. Or, we could just sit around...drink...& talk story.

Definitely interested! can't commit to anything right now though due several circumstances "beyond my control" as they say
