In the current economy, why would anyone spend their hard earned money on this s***?

It's about time! Kiss has always been my all time favorite metal band.

I have been a fan since I was about 7 and the first time I saw them live was in 1983 "Creatures of the Night" tour and it ROCKED.

I deserted from the KISS Army when I was thirteen years old. Had all of the albums, the posters, even the little paper gun that came with "Love Gun" (I think I may even still have that around somewhere).

Then I discovered real music and stopped listening to them.

I didn't listen to KISS for about twenty years but then, when they had their big reunion tour a couple of years ago, I had a fit of nostalgia and went to see them. They put on a great show, but the music really sucked.

I couldn't believe I ever thought they were good.

I happened to run across a show on cable the other day and saw Dee Snider and one of the guys from Twisted Sister just completely ripping KISS a new one.

You know it's pretty bad when Twisted Sister calls your music crap.

To borrow a line from the Simpson's Carl Carlsson, "Gene Simmons: What a tool".

I was a big fan when I was a teenager but have everything up to the solo albums on vinyl but have never purchased a CD. If I ever do it would probably be Alive! purely for nostalgic purposes. They were the perfect band to love when I was a teenager since they were bigger than life. As an adult I can't say I'm into them too much at all but it's nice to revisit my youth every once in a while, I just wouldn't wanna live there.

Saying their music sucks is bit of a stretch. Ever artist/band artist puts out an album or two where the music is a little less than desired.

Their last studio album Psycho Circus rocked. "Revenge" was hard and heavy it kicked @ss.
Destroyer, Alive II, Alive I, Love Gun, Creatures of the Night, Hotter Than Hell etc.....all have great music on them.

Twisted Sister??? Said someone sucked???? That just doesn't deserve a comment.......

Can't wait to hear the new KISS Studio album.....

I totally agree. Sure they are parody of what they once were. If you were betweem the ages of 9-12 and saw Kiss live in their prime, that set the bar for future rock concerts. It was 30 years ago and I still remember it!

Alive, and Alive 2 are great on CD, and Destroyer is a classic.

I think what they meant by saying that the music sucked is that KISS is not a good band, they are a bunch of hacks, regardless of how many albums they've put out.

Which, in fact, they are - awful. Just terrible. They are only about the fireworks, costumes, blood, etc...and not about the music.

Tell that to AC/DC, Guns and Roses,Motley Crue,Judas Priest, Van Halen, Anthrax, White Zombie, Ratt,Aerosmith, Skid Row, Pantera, Ozzy, Metallica..etc and on and on and on and they would probably laugh harder at your statement than I did.

I guess it was in '98 or so. It was the first time all four of them were together again (or, at least, the first time they were all together in this area).

They are all laughing hard - everytime KISS gets back together and plays one note. Everybody laughs at them.

Oh well to each their own.......

There is a lot of music out there that I am not crazy about or that I can't stand, but I would never say that they "s***" just because I dislike the music they make, but that is just me.
