With both Christmas day and Mr. Buffett's birthday rapidly approaching I thought it might be fun for BNers to compose their own version of this beloved holiday story.....I'll give it a start:

"Twas the night before Christmas and all through the beach bar........"

Anyone wish to add to the "new" version??????

all of the parrotheads were tailgating, listening to jimmy while drinking rum straight from the jar

Kudos to BigR for his full rendition of a "Captain Flock Christmas" in this thread......that took some major thought!

Since we obviously have some poets on BN I'll try to keep my original going for another's contribution:

"Twas the night before Christmas and all through the beach bar,
Not a BNer was stirring, not even Jimmy, our star........."

OK, maybe this wasn't such a great idea.......Lord knows I've laid a few eggs on BN........

The absence of posting is a pretty strong indicator of lack of interest! Nevermind.......

Don't be so hard on yourself.............It was a good idea, and sounds like a fun way to pass some time, but...... speaking for myself, I've got plenty of other stuff to do this weekend without trying to think of poetic words, to a story I can barely remember at this point in the weekend, for one reason or another And yes I have taken a few breaks and posted stuff on BN this weekend, but it was all mindless stuff, didn't involve me using my brain power. I'm running low on that right now.

Maybe when the football games are over, and the snow storms have stopped there'll be some posting going on here.

Good point......mindless exercises appeal to me way more than thinking too much while here on BN, especially with all the upcoming Christmas things to do! Have a Happy Holiday......
