Barry Switzer, whatever one might think of him as a college or NFL coach, is a genuinely nice, caring man.

I've always liked Switzer, known kids that played under him as Coach and several of his asst. coaches.bestseller92 wrote:Barry Switzer, whatever one might think of him as a college or NFL coach, is a genuinely nice, caring man.
The AD usually brought the recruiters and Coaches by my office when they were in Wagoner. ...as Stoops was just a couple of weeks ago.

Breaking News......Wino's mom & owner William Clay Ford begin negotiations TODAY!!!Wino you know wrote:Bill Cower will become the Cowboys coach the same day my 80-year old mother becomes coach of the Detroit Lions.
Re: "Paging Dr. Cowher."
This would be an upgrade for the Lions. Cowher needs some more wins to be a HOF coach. I'd hate to see him go to the Cryboys, Brownies, Bungals or Ravens, but money talks. If he does go I hope he signs Chris Collingsworth to his staff to get him off TV too. I don't know that Cowher's style of coaching would work in big D. He wouldn't get along with Jones and he would have problems with a lot of the players.Wino you know wrote:Bill Cower will become the Cowboys coach the same day my 80-year old mother becomes coach of the Detroit Lions.

It would work well for two or three years, like Parcells, because Cowher has a backbone and would stand up to Jones a lot longer than Phillips/gailey/campo ever did, but eventually it would wear thin on him and he'd tell Jones to f' off.Skibo wrote:This would be an upgrade for the Lions. Take me for what I am, a star newly emerging.
I accept the new found man, and I set the twilight reeling.

I'd like to see this happen if only to see how Cowher deals with Crybaby TO. That'd be some good drama.

I guess I spoke too soon, but hell, how much worse can the Lions do?
And I was never much of a fan of Bill Cower, but DAMN, he's one heck of a coach.
Two Super Bowl rings.
Well, two trips to the Super Bowl, anyway-not sure if his Steelers won BOTH times.
Anyway, good luck to him at Dallas next year.
