DIRECTV Users need to request Radio Margaritaville Now!

XM and Sirius have completed their merger and are now combining programming. DirecTV users get XM channels but DirecTV will not add it unless there are enough requests from their subscriber base. Now is the time to request that they add Radio Margaritaville. It is very easy to do:
1. Call 1-800-DIRECTV
2. email: Ellen Filipiak, Sr. Vice President Customer Care at:
http://www.directv.com/DTVAPP/global/co ... d=P4960016
That's it! Come on Parrotheads/Directv Subscribers lets get Radio Margaritaville!

Ellen works in the building I that I do.
I've not caught wind of this 'campaign'.. I'll have to ask her tomorrow if this is the reason DIRECTV hasn't added the channel yet.

Let Ellen know to be looking for my email. 
Now that the XM and Sirius merger has been completed, I'm quite pleased that several
of the previous Sirius stations have been added to our DirecTV lineup. I would like to
request that Radio Margaritaville be considered for addition as well. It's the only reason
we have a Sirius subscription!

I'm calling today. I have DIRECTV. How awesome would it be to wake up and go to bed listening to Radio Margaritaville in my bedroom.
hopefully they will list us!!

Hey all!
I read this thread, clicked the link, and sent an email.
They called me today!
They first and foremost wanted to know why they had received such an influx of emails.

They wanted to know where it came from. The nice lady said that our message was certainly being heard. I've had DirecTV for years. Their customer service has always been so nice.
And I also put in a plug for The Bridge. Man I miss that station.

Hey, I got one of those too... even though I gave her the incorrect url for our Club's webpage. 
I love that the phone call Bumette got asked about the "influx of emails".

We sent in our request a few days ago, but low and behold my Dad got us a XM receiver with three months prepaid programming for my car as a Christmas present. That stands out as one of the best presents I received this year. Way to go Dad!

Done! Here's to hoping for the best . . .
I made sure to emphasize the variety that the station offers its listeners. It's not just Jimmy Buffett and it is drastically different from the Reggae and Dub stations they currently offer.
Perhaps we should be cautious however. Radio Disney is a subscription channel on Direct TV no reason to believe they would not do the same for Radio MArgaritaville. So then the argument comes to is the listening to live concerts worth the additional couple bucks? Probably.
It could be argues that this would certainly widen Jimmy's available base . . . .
