Did anyone else hear or see what I saw on the news today that there is a weekly show being pitched to the networks based on the characters from Jimmy Buffett songs?I think it would be fun to watch.What does everyone else think about the idea?

Well let's hope one of them isn't Frank Bama since he didn't say what Jimmy says he said in Bank Of Bad Habits. I find it amazing that Jimmy got his own character wrong.

Why not include some "BN Critters" in this production, too? Surfpirate would make a great technical advisor to a project like this!

With all due respect to Surfpirate, I seriously doubt an internet comic strip based on members of a message board would ever be fodder for a television series, especially when the premise of the show is supposed to be characters from Buffett songs. Now, a cartoon or YouTube series might be a good idea but I kinda doubt BN Critters would work on that level. Then again, you never know. There was that one series which was based on "nothing" that turned out to be pretty successful.

OK folks. Thread hijacking. I know when I've been "challenged". I'm just going to start an entire NETWORK known as SPTV ........ of course I'll need your help coming up with shows, TV stars, and plots ... all based of course on the vapid nothingness that takes place here at BN. A network about vapid ramblings, rants and nothingness.
