But......we're not allowed to pick on Caroline Kennedy the way Sarah Palin was picked on...she's a Kennedy....raised in Camelot. That's equivalent to US Royalty. Palin is just a....Governor running a state. There's a HUGE difference.

I'm pretty sure Larry just DID pick on her. And unless you're living under a rock you can't miss reading about somebody bashing her and her presumed "entitlement" to the senate seat.
Are you guys gonna get your undies in a twist every time Sarah Palin's name is mentioned? Or must everyone refer to her as "she whose name must not be uttered"? Y'all are still bashing Al Gore and he lost 8 years ago!
Sometimes people or things are noteworthy, newsworthy or peculiarly interesting just because of the situation not because of their "redness" or "blueness". I guess "partyism" will become the new "racism", adding another card to the deck. Move over Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton, there's a new player at the table.

I haven't heard bashing of Caroline the way we did of Palin...and I hope for her sake it continues. Much of the bashing was sexist, and had no place in the discussion.
As for Al Gore, I haven't bashed him and have more respect for him now than I did 8 years ago....but still don't think he would've been a good President at the time...it seems like he grew some balls since his loss to GWB.

Someone needs to step up and defend this woman's right to name her kids whatever she wants. Where are the people who were defending those people who named their kids "Adolph Hitler" and "Aryan Nation"?

If Sarah Palin had a "D" after her name, she'd be White House bound in three weeks, and everybody would be telling her what beautiful names her children have. Pure & simple.

Our own Democrat Sen. Diane Feinstein from the Peoples Republic of California is EVERY BIT the you betcha and by golly machine that Palin is. It's just that for some reason this is not news worthy ......

Question:

You hear terms like, We'll "Bork" that guy. A Dem said of Kennedy something to the affect that She'll be Sarah Palined... Why do these expressions exist? I can't think of a Dem version :-? Gary Harted?

The question for detractors isn't so much whether she's qualified, smart enough or even experienced enough. Respectively, "no," "yes," and "it may not matter" are reasonable responses. Among her qualifications is an ability to raise money and broker deals on the weight of her name. That such power is endowed by birthright doesn't diminish its political value.

See, she's qualified. The Washington Post says so :D
