Update: Senator Al Franken and a Canadian Conspiracy

Post by flyboy55 »

He's getting closer to a seat in the U.S. senate. With little left to do but count roughly 1300 improperly rejected absentee ballots, Democrat Al Franken holds a 50 vote lead over Republican incumbent opponent Norm Coleman. A winner will likely be declared next week.

I believe I have stumbled upon a conspiracy of sorts. SNL's Tina Fey torpedoes Sarah Palin's VP chances with her deadly lampoons. SNL alumnus Al Franken topples a Republican incumbent to win a senate seat.

I see a pattern developing here. All these threads are tied together by one man: SNL creator and producer Lorne Michaels - a CANADIAN for crying out loud!!!!

The next move will be a cabinet level appointment for Mike Myers (infamous Canadian funnyman) who will be given the task of introducing universal health care to the American masses.

While we`ve been out making the world safe for Big Oil, those wily Canadians have been getting us to laugh our heads off with their cheap jokes and crazy Canuckian humor, biding their time until they could take over our government.

Welcome to America indeed - eh.

Sadly, one of CBC's funnier programs is airing its last program this week. The Canadian Air Farce is ending it's run tonight after 35 years. It made it's name making fun of Canadian Politics, and I'm sure if they had heard of tis conspiracy, it would have made great fodder for future programs.

Don'tcha know, all the best comedians are Canadian...John Candy, Dan Akroyd, Howie Mandell, Jim Carrey, Rick Moranis, Martin Short, Eugene Levy, Leslie Nielson, Tommy Chong, David Foley, Norm McDonald, Andrea Martin, Mike Myers, Catherine O'Hara, Rich Little, Phil Hartman and last and probably least.....Tom Green. If it's funny, it's probably part of the Canadian Conspiracy....waiting til the US disolves in 2010, and they swoop in and take over New England and the Great Lakes region.( viewtopic.php?f=31&t=73983)
As a Newfie born, US citizen, I'm just glad I have dual citizenship

You have to be nuts to live in THAT cold.
If you want an experience, go to a Jimmy Buffett concert.

Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.

Life is short, live long!!

I'd rather be a wiseass than a dumbass.

Howie Mandell, Tom Green, and after "Love Guru" Mike Myers... should have their visas and work permits revoked. It will give them a chance to get back in touch with their roots..

There's a 1985 mockumentary called "The Canadian Conspiracy". Its about Canada's Attempt to take over Hollywood. Worth checking out if you don't trust us Canuckians.

Peter Jennings
William Shatner
Samantha Bee
Morley Safer
John (J.D.) Roberts
Pamela Anderson
James Cameron
Kim Cattrall
Elisha Cuthbert
James Doohan
Michael J. Fox
Matthew Perry
Keanu Reeves
Seth Rogan
Alex Trebek

To name but a few. All Canadian...
Dumb and drunk as I was, you know I would do it all again.

Yeah, if the Comedians I mentioned don't get your attention and keep you occupied til the demise, then Pam Anderson, Kim Cattrall, Elisa Cuthbert etc should do it with their beauty

He is now the winner. Give him a chance, he seems very sincere.
