Well seeing I live in a state, that has the highest number of gambling machines per head than anywhere else in the world ....... I unfortunately like to go gambling ... just wish I would win ... but working on finding other hobbies!

I enjoy facebook - great way to catch up with friends and family!

If I were fit and able - I would like to play tennis - but that is a thing of the past.

I dont mind reading - dont do enough of it .. got books piled up here that I have not yet started

In no particular order, my hobbies include:
Sailing (when I can find a day off that the wind is right), cars (driving them, working on them, reading about them, particularly Corvettes), reading mystery novels (anything by Tim Dorsey, Randy White, Tom Corcoran, Bob Morris, and the like), travel (mostly Florida, Bermuda, the Caribbean), drinking rum, attending concerts (Buffett comes first, of course), listening to music (Buffett, the Coral Reefers, Beatles, smooth jazz), cooking on my charcoal grill (no gas for me, I like to mess with charcoal), watching the Barrett-Jackson auto auctions on Speed TV (can't believe what some people spend on cars), watching baseball, spending the day in bookstores, surfing the internet (especially BN)......come to think of it, it's a wonder I have time to work! :o
On most days I say: "Wrinkles only go where the smiles have been...."
Sometimes I can only say: "There is no dumbass vaccine......"

If something or someone gets you down, just remember: "In a hundred years it all won’t matter.........."

Hobbies? Do I have hobbies???

I knit, crochet, make jewelry (stringing, weaving, wire work and polymer clay) travel, snorkel, geocache, camp, cross country ski, do jigsaw puzzles and I spend a lot of time worshipping my two goddesses Amber and Nutmeg....and most any other of their species. Oh! and I forgot the canoe and kayak and the birdfeeders....

Hobbies I wish I had developed somewhere along the line...cooking and keeping a neat house.

Lots of outdoors stuff:

I Love Fly Fishing. Trout live in the most beautiful places :D
I tie flies
Photography
We enjoy our canoe and kyacks
We're home wine makers
Love to browse book stores looking for books on small houses/shelters people live in. Especially if they are made out of non-traditional building materials.

And I've seemed to pick up this bird problem over the last few years. Spending around a Benjamin a month on seed, suet, hummingbird nectar and the likes  Well, that includes some cracked corn for the deer

keeping journals, reading, sitting by the pool, crosswords, travelling somewhere new each month, flowers and plants, perfecting new rum punch variations, pursuing the ultimate fish taco, sunbathing, and watching Jimmy sail, play tennis, play golf, run across the countryside... oh and have been known to ride a horse or two...

PS I HAD a 'bird problem' in California, but here there are hundreds of kinds of birds, literally, and they feed themselves so mostly you just watch them... we see 20-30 different kinds a day...

Beer is an excellent hobby if you are not pursuing rum... each island here has its own beer -- or one that it has adopted from another island. My Jimmy might count beer as one of his hobbies, except for he is athletically obsessed. The beer comes after the athletics. One of the athletics is the running group, whose motto is A Drinking Club With a Running Problem.

Oh, man, how I miss the fly tying and fly fishing.

For most of my adult life I was really into trout fishing since I live within 5 minutes of the Falling Spring near Chambersburg, PA and 30 minutes of the Letort Spring in Carlisle, PA. Gin clear, limestone streams that you can all but jump across. And spooky, native trout......my biggest caught was a 26-inch Rainbow in the Falling Spring. I was even Past President of Falling Spring Chapter of Trout Unlimited back in the mid-80s.

Then about 3 years I suffered a partially detached retina in my left eye. Thankfully, we have a wonderful local eye surgeon who restored my sight. Not perfect, but I can see. Unfortunately, my vision can no longer see a #24 trico fly to tie on or even follow in the currents any more.....but the memories are still fresh in my mind. I'm grateful for having the experience.

And you're right, trout sure live in some beautiful places on this Earth......
