That won't be happening here for a while.
We're supposed to have a major blizzard going through here in the morning, and it'll be around for a few days. Just in time for another storm system moving through here on Wednesday.
The winds tonight are picking up to about 40 MPH, and the sleet has started.

Gotta love this "global warming."
The home opener for the White Sox was rescheduled until Tuesday
Fortunately the Cubs will be playing on Monday night
Happy Openning Day everyone. TODAY SHOULD BE A NATIONAL HOLIDAY! Heading out to PETCO for a late afternoon affair with the No-Good-Stinking-Rotten Dodgers. Sitting close enough to Manny that, as Lightening Botl says, we can spit on him.

Looks like Johan Santana picked up where he left off last year - 5 2/3 innings, 1 run, 3 hits, 7 strikeouts, but 4 walks. Now let's see if the bullpen can hold the lead for him.

They have a great bullpen this year, only question is the starting pitching after Santana. I wouldn't be surprised if they went after Kevin Millwood in a mid-season trade.

I hope not putting my rally cap on
the Cincinatti Reds have been mathematically eliminated from the post-season...
Did anyone see the highlights of King Felix Hernandez? If he can stay healthy . . . which I am convinced he never will for a full season . . . and he pitches like that (as awesome as any pitcher since Pedro Martinez in 99 - 2000) then Seattle will have the American League Cy Young.
Oh . . . Griffey hit another meaningless homerun which puts him in a tie for the American League lead with a .333 BA.
Good stuff Ken. Good stuff.
the hit and run is as good as any religion around this time of year . . .

Can someone please laugh at this joke. Please. It will just keep popping up until some does. A pity laugh will do.
(Cinci will finish above .500 this year . . . my prediction).

According to the play-by-play on espn.com, he hit the home run in the top of the 5th, making the score 2-0. Minnesota scored a run in the bottom of the 5th, 2-1. Final score was 6-1. Griffey's home run was the winning run. How can you call that "another meaningless home run"?

Because if he didn't hit it the Mariners would've won 5 - 1.
