Anyone see Jonathan Papelbon make an a$s out of himself last night . . . and I used to like it when he went a little crazy! When you say "we're going to kick a$s and when we do we want you to party your a$ses off with you . . . " after a loss; yeah . . . enough, dude. Enough.
That being said . . . Red Sox have as good a chance as anyone in AL. I wouldn't want to put my hopes on CC's and Arod's traditional post season performances if I were a Yankees fan.
the hit and run is as good as any religion around this time of year . . .

They almost blew it tonight, but pulled it out in the 11th.
I think Street is still trying to get his "sea legs" under him, since being on the DL. The Rockies are tenacious though, they just keep grinding until that last out.

I'm not a Yankees fan but I think their 8th inning guy is Phil Hughes, not Bruney.
Bruney may not even make the postseason roster. Hughes is their setup man.
But to go back a few posts, I agree Boston has just as good a chance as any in October. Beckett and Lester are just as good as any 1-2 punch in baseball. That being said, as a Yankees fan, I'm cautiously optimistic about October. The team has played great for the better part of the year. But they played like crap in the last 3 ALDS's they were in, so I'm not getting my hopes up.
Sometimes more than others,
we see who and what and where we are,
I'm just a one man band,
With my feet in the sand,
Tonight I just need my guitar

In all seriousness, if the Yankees don't win the World Series this year then we have just witnessed perhaps the worst decade ever for front office moves in the four major American team sports. I mean, somewhere between 1 and 2 billion dollars spent and counting . . .

I've heard Papelbon talk too much. He's a helluva pitcher but I wish he'd follow the lead of an outstanding Yankee closer & just shut up & pitch!
Corona by day, Corona by night, any old time is just alright!
Seems fair.
I'll pretend I'm the GM of the Indians.
I'll trade away 2 Cy Young winners in 12 months, an All-Star catcher, and watch my $100 Million outfielder hit .247, and blame someone else!
Say what you will about Wedge, but he didn't stand a chance.
