A moment of silence?

Alfred Shaheen, who upgraded and helped to popularize the Hawaiian shirt, has died at the age of 86.
Although the company is defunct, vintage Shaheen shirts can sell for $1,000 or more, said David Bailey of Bailey's Antiques and Aloha Shirts in Honolulu, a well-known emporium that stocks about 15,000 aloha shirts.

As Arthur, the textile professor explained, a Shaheen garment "is like a piece of moving art."
Damn. That's an expensive shirt. :o

hmmm. a place to visit on the next trip to Hawaii...

and it's a d*m shame a fashion genius was taken from us, yet the folks who come up with the abominations on the runways now remain blissfully unaware of their mortality...
