One of our members who works at the Cheeseburger in Paradise in Oklahoma City was informed that the restaurant is closing. No sure if it is immediately or in the next week or so. The restaurant was showing a proift, but not enough to keep it open.
Any other closings that you know of...... as these decisions are usuallly made at the corporate level and at about the same time.

Makes me wonder if a blown top sort of spunge will ever wonder if he'll end his shows with Cheeseburger...since the last song is the closing song.

We heard that both the Oklahoma City and Kalamazoo, Mich. CiP's were closing. Please keep the Sandestin, Florida location open!

The CIP in Kalamazoo closed last Friday. I'm not surprised. Kalamazoo is economically depressed like many towns in America. A lot of restaurants here are not doing well.

It was on West Main Street right near a strip mall and a lot of other businesses. It was right across the street from my dog groomer. I would go and eat at CIP while Sammie was being groomed. I really enjoyed the place, but like I said, a lot of businesses are going under in this town, so it really is no surprise.

The first couple of times I ate at a CIP I liked it well enough. Since then my experiences have been increasingly disappointing. At 3 or 4 CIPs in different states I experienced mediocre service, mediocre food, and downright dirty restaurant conditions. Not the way to win or keep customers....

I've been to 2 CiPs... Downers Grove IL and Indy.... Both locations were packed... food was ok, service was good.

Had two within an hour of my house, now they're both gone
Liked the boat drinks, I thought the menu was somewhat limited. Jimmy needs to buy back into these for pennies on the dollar, infuse some money into them and get them back on their feet.

Drinks were better than M'ville's and cost less.

Looks like Jimmy did a smart thing when he sold them to...??? who'd he sell them to ?
He got out in time.
Now if we could just find out what's happening with this:

Don't remember the exact details, but didn't he basically license the use of his name and song titles to them for millions per year? I don't think he personally had much input, if any, in the way they were run.
Captain P, where are you?

he might have had a 5-10% share of the first 15 or something like that, from what I remember. When he stopped showing up for the openings, I think that was the sign his work with the thing was done.

Cheeseburger in Paradise is one of our Official sponsors for the Meeting of the Minds this year. My understanding is that the restrurants that are falling short or light on profits will be closing.
For those of you who got a gift bag this year at the MOTM be sure and use your coupon for 4 free mini-cheeseburgers soon.

I wonder when OKC will be closing? Maybe we could get one more visit in before it goes!
