BN doesn't always mean what you think. HAHAHA

My "soul-cousin" lives in Boise and even though we are as different as day and night, we have such a deep connection. She is about as far from a Parrothead as you can get (although her youngest son is a huge fan). Her idea of a great concert weekend would be Sarah Brightman and Michael Buble at Boise State College! :P

So, today we were chatting on IM--I had exciting news--last night I talked on the phone to my brother from another mother for the first time ever (I'm 60 and he's 63!). I told her I had tried to call her afterwards, but she didn't answer her cell or home. She wrote, "Oh, I was busy at BN!" I'm trying and trying to figure out what the HE** she is doing on BN!!! About 3 hours later it dawns on me, SHE WAS AT BARNES AND NOBLE DRINKING COFFEE AND LISTENING TO MUSIC!

I know, nothing earth shattering, just an amusing story.

:wench:

A cute story.

The next time she is at 'BN' tell her she needs to check out an album or two to see just what you are into. Who knows maybe she can be pursuaded to the tropical side of life.

FINS UP ^

bn.com will get you to barnes & noble :D

I don't have BuffettNews bookmarked, I usually type the "b" and it shows right up in my browser history. Then I scroll down and click it to get here. But when I must be hurrying, I end up at the "Physical Review B" or "Boston University" page. phjim must wonder why his referring site report lists them several times a week. :-?

That's pretty funny. Back when I was single, I used to hang out at Borders on Saturday nights...drinking coffee and trying to meet women. It did not work.

Have you had better luck meeting women at this BN? I personally have been able to get two great concert dates from women I've met here (with my wife's permission no less).

Yeah, long but interestersting story. In a nutshell, my dad was married/divorced with a son when my mom met him. Married my mom, he was killed in a motorcycle accident passing out cigars on the day I was born. My mom would never talk about my dad. I found out when I was 11 about the story and that I had a half-brother but no one would tell me his name or anything about him. I posted some genealogy stuff years ago, hoping to find some relatives. Last weekend, my half-brother's daughter found the posts and contacted me. Tuesday night I got to see my brother via webcam and had a long phone conversation with him.

Pretty exciting week for me! [smilie=battingeyes.gif]
