What are you grilling this weekend?

Post by Frank4 »

Well, it's -17 outside right now. We are anticpating a warm up here in Chicago today. Up to 7 degrees.

I am going to be grilling steaks on the grill tonight

Anyone else grilling (hopefully somewhere warmer) this weekend?

We're cooking filet mignon on Saturday, but I'm not sure if I should grill it outside, or sear it in a skillet and finish it off in the oven...might be fun sipping a Cab and standing in the snow grilling... :D

We'll be in the 50's this weekend. Probably throw some pork tenderloin and some burgers on the grill.

My weekend ends today, so if I eat anything grilled on Saturday, it'll either be from Red Lobster, Applebee's, or Bennigan's (or Ruby Tuesday).
Thankfully, whoever owned my house before me had the foresight to realize this is IOWA, and had the patio deck ENCLOSED, so I can pretty much grill out there any time I want to.
Wednesday evening when it was -18 below, I grilled a couple of bratwursts for me, and a turkey tenderloin for each of my dogs.
They were happy about that-they seem to like it better than Purina.

Relatively speaking, the 50's in January in Colorado is basically the same as the 70's in January in Florida. I'll probably even be wearing shorts and flip flops! Monday is gonna be 60!

**** AL GORE and "his" theory! How much money has he managed to waste so far? How long would that ammount keep us in beer, booze, concerts, and happy.

Maybe Al and his pals, would like to pay the heating bill for the rest of us? Perhaps shovel our sidewalks? Look at how "green and efficient" his home actually is. ( Not to mention how the aircraft he flies around in.)

Thanks for nothing to Al and His Pals. That is all the rest of us get, is nothing, and colder and poorer! Meanwhile Al gets richer and continues his definitely "ungreen" lifestyle and stays warm.

I got some nice NY Strips from Omaha for Christmas. Might have to throw them on the old Weber tomorrow night when my parents are over.

Well, it's 70 and dry here in the Bay Area, when it should be 50 and raining. Lovely weather for grilling, but this is our third below-average rainfall year in a row.

Me...I'm thinkin' about grilling chicken, and maybe salmon. But I need to get more charcoal.

Last Saturday, we (me and my cooking compadre from the Raleigh concert "Bill") smoked a boston butt and two pork shoulders for dinner. We also grilled wings and italian sausage for lunch and mushrooms for dinner.

This weekend, only time will tell!
