Kathleen Madigan. Her bits on Jesse Jackson are a scream...especially since I just watched him being interviewed on ABC during the inaguration festivities.

He was amazing, hysterical, and no one else like him. :D

Anybody else ever hear or see Bobby Collins??????
was He the But Who knows? guy??
Can't say that routine rings a bell with me.......but he does a bit talking about sharing some salsa with his dog while his wife was away that is a scream!
I saw Bobby Collins in NJ and nearly emptied my bladder. I was laughing so much I couldn't keep up with his jokes... "On the inside..."
Saw him again in Columbia, SC, and he had to change his act because most of his bits were about the people in the audience! He had to change the jokes to Clemson jokes. I was laughing so much he picked on me. But as he continued he realized that I got the jokes when the others didn't. Then we were confidantes. He kept looking at me like "you get it, right?". He is a very funny guy.
I discovered him once I got the Sirius in my car. My favorite bit of his is the one about airport security.

Along that same vein- Anyone listen to Comedian Bob Marley?

My other favorites:
The Blue Collar Guys
Denis Leary
John Pinette

Blue Collar and Raw Dog Comedy are my 2nd/3rd favorite channels on Sirius (Behind RM of course)
DEFINITION OF A VETERAN

Who else in the history of comedy could get laughs by not saying anything?????

The robber says: "C'mon now, your money or your life!"

Jack takes that infamous long pause........ :o

The robber says "Well?????"

Jack replies: "I'm thinking, I'm thinking........."

Loved him! And LIPH mentioned Buddy Hackett-loved him too.
George Carlin and Robin Williams for more contemporary comics.

and Penny-when I was a kid, my parents took me to see Danny Kaye in "concert" along with Senor Wences. What a riot that night was!

Senor Wences was one of the funniest acts I've ever seen. I was very young, but always looked forward to his appearing on Ed Sullivan.

When Norm MacDonald was still on Saturday Night Live, I had to work one Saturday. Well, many Saturdays, but I digress. SNL's studio is in the building where I work. When I was going home the elevator stopped at one of the NBC floors. Norm was standing there, leaning against the wall with his arms folded across his chest, smoking a cigarette. He looked at me, nodded his head and let the elevator door close without getting on. He looked like if you saw him walking down the street late at night you'd cross the street to get away from him.

The late great John Candy was one. He didn't even have to speak.
