Hawaii PreOpening Dates and Concert dates

Just a correction from the previous posts. The Restaurant Grand Opening is officially Feb 2nd, with a private preparty on Feb 1st.... The Concerts are Maui on Feb 24th and here in Waikiki at the Shell on Feb 28th. Tickets should go on sale for the concerts next Saturday, and the local PHip Chapters have already put in our requests.

Our local Chapter is also considering having another Pre Concert/Tailgate party at the Elks lodge or somewhere near the shell. Just don't know what the interest will be with the new restaurant being just down the street. Would just like to get some feedback, and find out if anyone would like to attend a tailgate party if we held one again? Although the tailgate will actually probably be at the Elks again since, all out tailgating is not allowed at the Shell.

Where is the Elks lodge in comparison to the Shell? Would it be outdoors?

That wont (and cant) be when Jimmy is playing. The drawing for the contest isnt until Feb 3rd. Jimmy must be playing his show there around the shell date (probably right before or after)

My wife, daughter and I have all of our reservations to fly from the Mainland to Hawaii ready to go. I haven't pulled the trigger as I am waiting on official word, or actual ticket sales announcement. We would be very interested in the tailgate. Any new word? How can I be ready to know for sure then jump on five concert tickets and book my trip? Thanks for your help.

The Elks lodge is located right across the street from the Shell on the beach. It's a beachfront and oceanview venue that holds around 400 people. Last concert I think we had around 350 show for our party. The new restaurant and Dukes are both down the street and about 5 blocks from the Shell.

I know for sure that the Shell concert is Saturday Feb 28, our club already has our tickets reserved. So you can be pretty confident booking your flights and I think tickets should go on sale the 31st.

The restaurant Grand Opening private party is Feb 1st with the public Grand Opening on Monday the 2nd. There's probably a good chance that when Jimmy is in town around the 28th, he'll show up there a time or two, but haven't heard anything about that private party.

I was HOPING the concert was going to be sometime around Feb. 8th. (PRO BOWL).
But it's HAWAII, I'll take what I can get.

No inside info here, just speculation based on the Mohegan Sun opening/show. At Mohegan, the M'Ville grand opening was about a month before JB came and played a private show. I wonder if the Honolulu opening (Feb 1/2) will also be followed by a JB private show some time around the Maui and Shell shows.

Tickets are very easy to get in Hawaii for his shows. It's a small island.

are the tickets usually sold on Ticketmaster or from the venue itself?

Oahu is not our particular style.......(Grew up in a Navy familly....spent some time on Oahu as a kid, then again when I was a midshipman delivering bunker to Cherry Point).... We are more Maui....Hawaii....Kaui..... We'll be stayin' downtown Lahaina (in the old original whaler's inn...the Pioneer inn on the dock next to the Banyan tree....got the corner veranda room...._)...... cruise Front street...... grab the convertable and do the Road Beyond Hana trip (Our favorite....the road past Hana is Very cool...go visit Lindburgs' grave.....).....take a dive trip out to Monikini.........Hang out with Erik P....( The Whaleshark....)........

We like the Pioneer Inn......it takes me back to my famillies roots.....sailors and the sea.....well that and hanging out on the verandas, "Watching the tourists tryin' to parallel park their cars" is a heck of a lot of fun.....!!!!!

What gives? I believe nothing until I see it in black and white, or color and posted on Margaritaville.com! Come on Jimmy - what's your game?

No Game!!! Ticket requests have already been taken for the west region PHiP clubs.... The dates are Maui Feb 24th and the Shell Feb 28th. They go on sale to the general public Jan 31st.

Look forward to seeing everyone out there in Hawaii either at the Grand Opening next week or for the concert Feb 28th.
