Re: Chiropractors?
My wife had a stroke that was directly related to a chiropractor. He knew it the minute it happened. I was waiting out in the car and got bored so I decided to walk in with my 3 year old daughter to see what was taking so long. The minute I entered the waiting area, he walked up to me and said he had called an ambulance that she had appeared to have suffered a stroke. We found out later, he had ruptured an artery to her brain, forming a blood clot, and she ended up in intensive care.
She had a stiff neck and wanted to get it fixed before we went on vacation to Key West. Now she is on blood thinner. The worst thing was we got a bill from his office shortly afterwards.

My Chiro is great. Not a real "bone crusher". Lots of stim and minor adjustments here and there. He also has a degree in sports medicine and works for a couple of the local university athletic departments. Definitely do your homework.

I am an x-ray tech by trade (don't do it now, but still have my license) I have worked with orthopaedic drs & have seen people who had been to chiropractors -not good. I have seen the x-rays that they take in their office & they are a piece of cr*p. Having seen all of this through the years I personally would never go to one!
Sorry Flocker about your ((friend)) -that is another example of what I was talking about & have seen.

Re: Chiropractors?
I have a good friend who is a Chiropracter, a couple of years ago. I fell of the ladder while hanging Christmas lights. My back was pretty sore. He took care of it. I never had to go back, which was really nice.
I thank the Lord for the people I have found

I've never tried one, mostly because with my luck, I'd be that patient who had a stroke or something.
I'm all about the massage.

Oh totally. Whenever I get the inkling that I might want someone snappin' my joints around, I just think how good a fantastic back rub would feel, and I manage to talk myself out of it.Capt.Flock wrote:I am with mal on this onebuffettbride wrote:I've never tried one, mostly because with my luck, I'd be that patient who had a stroke or something.

With the economy the way it is and massage folks mostly being small businesses at salons and stuff, I'm finding some great coupons (like, buy 30 minutes for $35 and get the next 30 minutes free). Stuff like that. I loooove me some rubbin'!

Re: Chiropractors?
I have used one and still would if I needed him again. He is the one that told me about my foot problems. The first one I wnet to years and years ago ago scared me sill I thought my head did a 360. The one I use now seems more like a Reikki hdealer than a chiropractor. He uses alot of presure points etc.
(Flock I too am sorry to hear about your friend!!)
