My sidetrip to Bay City (the night before JB @ DTE) is not going to happen. My brother's booking agent didn't get the paperwork done in time for him to get his U.S. work documents at a reasonable cost, so it is not happening.
He IS playing in London, Ont for about 4 weekends straight, so I'll get to see him if I'm passing through.

Better not hear "Visitors scored on the home rink"
I'll be happy with "Eighty four degrees and the hockey game's on"

From here on (sine my team has been out of it for so long!), I'm cheering for the Red Wings (the Detroit Dead Things as some people back home used to say).
Growing up halfway between Detroit and Toronto, it was always a choice of supporting the nominally Canadian team or being a little different.
It would be nice if Jimmy gave hockey fans some respect this summer!

Somehow, I think I had nothing to do with it, but let's rejoice, anyway!

Perhaps I should go back to ignoring the games entirely?

It'll all work out.
Wings will keep Lord Stanley's Cup.
Just won't be a clean sweep.
There will be a parade,
the bars will be packed,
we'll party just like the "football" crowd does in
poorer countries.
Then we will finish shutting down Detroit,
and join the ranks of those other soccer nuts.
Four major teams here,
Red Wings, Lions, Tigers, & Pistons.
With the economic downsizing we won't be able to support them all.
Big question is which one will leave.

I have no idea which I'd prefer to see go away...............................
P.S. We need Pavel Datsyuk back in order to finish the Pens off!
