Not that it matters for JB, but has anyone been to DTE this year & noticed any kind of lightening up on the parking lot police as far as drinking pre-concert?

5 weeks from today!

This is our first trip to Detroit and I am wondering about the tailgate. What time do lots open? Are there any restrictions? We usually pack all our tailgate stuff in a 12' enclosed trailer. Do they charge more for small trailers and are they parked in a different location than the main tailgate area? Sorry for all the questions but we are trying to decide on what and how much to bring. Also is any one trying to get a group together for this tailgate?

My son wanted to know if we would bike to 7-11 today for free slurpees.
Riding to the pub instead sounded better.
I love getting carded at 7-11 on 7-11, so maybe I will stop for a brew there as well.
It's no tailgate, so I think we'll wait till 2:00 pm before starting.

Pine Knob (dte) is well known in the past years for not letting anyone into the lots until at least 3pm.

No major rules except that you should call about the trailor. There is a limo/rv lot but they have been known to throw fits about trailors especially if you attempt to park in a normal spot. Also you should be ok on booze as long as its in a RED PLASTIC CUP AND NOT THE CAN OR BOTTLE. (and you look older than 21)

With all of that being said, what time does everyone plan on actually getting to tailgate? I have never been to DTE and all venues say they wont let people in until a certain time and they usually cave due to traffic

Depends when you want the party to start. There will be a core group at the "Park N Ride" Car-Pooling parking lot at the I-75/Sashabaw Rd. exit probably by 9:00 am or so. You can hang there for awhile & make a few new phriends.
