I slept badly so did not hurry this morning. ETA at DTE: later than first prediction. Lots of time for tailgating and seeing the show.
About to head down the Bluewater Highway, on Ontario's West Coast.
Like Caly, hoping for kind, efficient customs folk.

I have to meet my mother in law in Flint at noon for lunch and to drop the kids off then back home to pick up my wife who should be awake by then after working last night. Thinking about stopping by the Park and Ride for a quick beer but I may never make it back home to get her!

Met some great people last night as usual. Even had a special guest at our tailgate!

Great concert!

Kind a whirlwind experience for us though. I didn't get tickets until recently. We got a pretty late start to Pine Knob since we were both working yesterday. So prolly our world record shortest tailgate. We got there in time to get a cheeseburger, get in some pictures, give out some leis, and head in to the concert.

Thanks to those that fed us! I'm not sure I know who that was. We were chatting with Snowparrot and OMIATT and this lovely lady gave us food and drink We were running so late we didn't stop for dinner on the way. down. We left to go into the venue pretty quickly since I remember missing the beginning of a concert at Alpine because of their totally inept procedures for getting people into the site. However here there were loads of entrances and pretty much no waiting in line to get in. Pine Knob is a beautiful facility. It was packed to the gills, Jimmy seemed to be having a great time, the weather was perfect and our commute to and from was uneventful. What more could you ask for...well except for a little more time at the tailgate to meet with friends. I missed several people I know where there.

That was no lady, that was Mrs. OMiTT AKA Mrs. Longboard!

It was great meeting you after all these years.

I am dragging a$$ today, too! Got home at 1 and that's all she wrote! Met up with Kevin and Lenora. Nice to meet both of you. WOnder if he'll add Detroit on for next year and make it a trifecta?

Had a great time last night...but when I returned to my car someone had clean ripped of my LP of the back of my car...then they stuck stickers all over it...?? The also used to plate to cut my soft top? They wrote buy American on the window...I drive a SABB and bought it with my GM discount?

WHY in the world would someone do that? I have noticed over the last few years there seems to be more and more 'angry' people walking around the lots at Buffett...it just sucks because I just switched insurance companies and now I have to file a claim right away...

It did not make sense because once we parked we went to meet up the the rest of our group and never came back to the car?

It was a really fine tailgate, and a good concert, oo.
Thanks to all our PHriends for making it such a lot of fun.
And thanks to OMiTT and Mrs. for taking in a migratory Snowparrot... and taking me to see all those cool cars on Woodward.

Great to see everyone again, especially all those that snuck in from Canada. I really need to talk to Homeland Security about tightening up our Michigan borders...

Two straight years of perfect weather in Detroit, which we all agreed is a very underrated venue. Actually, the venue is just like any other...it's the people there that make it great!
