MEETING / CARAVAN UPDATE
My venue sources say the parking lots are scheduled to be open at 2pm and but I am hearing they will probably really open the gates about 1pm. Gates open at 6pm. I think this was the same schedule as last year

Tentative plan is to meet at the Burger King on Rock Quarry Road (about 2 miles from the venue, Exit 300A off I40) at 12:30 to caravan together. I will try to get some arial photos posted and an update on Page 1 later this week for some visuals.

Please confirm the number of premier passes that will be able to meet at this time. I am told that I can name drop and get our grassy knoll from last year if I give my contacts the number and time on Wednesday.

PHINS UP PHOLKS - we are almost down to single digits.

PHONE LIST UPDATE
Good thing I sent the prelist - at least one typo and a few folks that got left off. I am sorry Nothing personal. I will plan to resend later this week and then send the final early next week.

FOOD / GRILL UPDATE
We will have grills to share. I have pmd those people who requested we bring burgers/brats for them. If you think we are supplying food and didn't hear from me - send me a line.

Those that want to bring something to share - Keep it simple - chips, salsa, deli salads, etc. or simply help us set up / take down.

WEATHER UPDATE
Wednesday is going to be "mostly sunny and 70". This will be perfect - keep those PHINS up for the rain to stay away.

My brother and I are coming down from Northern Va for the first time and we are super excited!! We hear that Raleigh is one of the best venues to see Jimmy at.... We are driving down early on wed, checking into our hotel, and we are planning on taking a taxi from there so we can PARTY!! We are rollin' in beach bum style with just two cheap folding chairs and a foam cooler full of BEEER and margaritas!! ( and maybe jello-shoooters!!) We have a Premier-parking pass and we are looking for some cool Parrot-Heads to chill with... And for those of you who are attending the Bristow shows at Nissan Pavilion in NoVA... that is our stomping ground so you all can chill at our set up!!

My Plan . . .

I am in Massachusetts now for a family thing this weekend and to get my car down to NC as my "other" ride is showing signs of, um, effect from sitting in a salt laced pile of sand for three years. I was planning on hitting the road early Wednesday . . . getting down to my house in Hertford sometime Wednesday afternoon (I can do that 750 mile drive in less than 10 hours . . . watch me!) take care of some business (IE . . . get me some) and then head into my sh*t hotel at the Day's Inn Wednesday night and get my drink on . . . .


IF . . . and I am not trying to be a party pooper . . . IF the weather is as bad as they are now saying . . . and I hate to say it does look bad . . . then I am going to take care of some family business with my brothers up here (bought a rental property on the Cape . . . needs much work; and they more than a little p*ssed that I am leaving them for a Jimmy Buffett show ) for an extra day and leave late and fight my way down through the rain (will add about 2 hours to the drive). We'll see.

WOW - I am quite the slacker this year.. I have been so busy with two jobs the past few months that I completely spaced and forgot Buffett was coming in April! I have the vacation time scheduled for next week however at this time I do not have a ticket (searching craigslist for a lawn seat).
