Re: What's your ride?
I now have a 2008 Suburban Z71 that replaced the "H-POO". On a whim (and a feeble attempt at correcting a mid-life crisis) I got an H2SUT in 2006. Worst vehicle I've ever had--soooooooooooooo glad I leased it. It was in the shop for a multitude of problems, including a transmission issue that I found out GM wouldn't cover because I had nullified the warranty because I drove it on our property in spring and went through a wet muddy area that was over 23 inches deep. I guess I thought I would be okay heading out there as I had 4 wheel drive AND was on 36 inche STOCK tires. But when the tranny started making funny noises and lurching a few weeks later, the dealership informed me that H2's are only waranteed for use in "off road activities" less than 23 inches deep and no more than 5 miles per hour.
Luckily for us we have friends in high places and got the transmission repaired under a "courtesy service." We continued to have multiple problems with it (like the one day it was raining and water started POURING out of the roof and fried the radio, navagational system, heating and cooling system, etc. We tried to get GM to buy it back, but they decided that all the problems we were having stemmed from the day on the property.... GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR. On the up side, they did end up settling the case with us for enough cash to cover the last 12 months of the lease and we were able to use an early buy out to get rid of it....
Anyhoo, thanks for reading that rant--been six months since it's divorce from our family and I'm still bitter
Just send me the therapy bill and I'll see if my BOBH card can cover the cost.
In the summer I love to make (heh) my hubby take me on rides on his '06 Harley Road King. He also has an '84 CJ that is an off road rig (much cheaper than the H-POO), and we have a 1966 Plymouth Fury III that we like to take out for rides in the summer. Maybe we'll restore it??? Not sure, I guess the local thinking is to trade it for a better muscle car... My vote is a 1966 Mustang convertible. Wonder if I'll get my way...

Re: What's your ride?
I've got an 87 Jeep Cherokee with 188,000 miles on it, original engine, tranny, new clutch, oil pump and water pump. I think it's starting to show it's age, the mileage has dropped from 25mpg to 23.5mpg. Or it could be I'm doing more around town driving in it. I don't know but I'm pretty happy with it after all these years.

I traded in my 89 Silverado 4x4 with 216,000 on it for a brand new
2007 Nissan Frontier 4x4 last year. Now I've 20,000 on the Nissan and
it's great.

A 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee

And a 2006 Mercury Sable

Both are paid for, and both have less than 50,000 miles.

Re: What's your ride?
I have a pair of 97 Jeeps....ones a Wrangler that has been rebuilt from the ground up. The odometer says 178K but with a new factory rebuilt motor etc, it really has about 45K on it.
The other is a Cherokee Sport. It has 175K on it, and has a 3 inch lift, 31 inch Nokias and a jungle rack on the roof.
Marilyn drives a Volvo V70 wagon and I also have a 1975 Norton 850 Commando that I hope to start restoring next winter, and a 29' Ericcson sailboat that is our waterfront summer home.
