I had one come up for section 2 earlier, dead center, but threw it back because I wasn't sure if I wanted to come.
So help me, after what I've been through today with these baffoons (among other things, my cell phone died this morning while I was waiting for one of those pimply faced geeks to answer), Miss North Carolina better be waiting for me at the state line and take me in the field and SKREW MY EVER LOVIN' BRAINS OUT!!!
Oh, and I guess I may as well ask my boss for the time off that week, given that I've spent $314.00 for tickets.

Plus, I don't know if I want to log on to Not-So-Live Nation again or not. Any guidance would be appreciated.
Tarheel Tail Gator could probably answer this best but I will give it a shot.....last year we all met and followed each other into VIP and had GREAT parking. We did have grass where we were. Not all VIP is grass but some is. It is a closer walk and they do let VIP out before the other lots. There also seem to be more port-a-johns as well. The other lots are all gravel (unless you park right at the front of the lot near the road) and are located across the street from the venue. The other lots are not a bad walk to the venue at all. It is better to have VIP if you wish to park with all the other BN'ers and park and tailgate together. It is just what your prefer.....
Somebody else can feel free to add to this......
Last year we had VIP IN, and that was nice. Close to everyone. But VIP OUT, that sucked! Not any faster. Got us a VIP parking ticket anyway... Don't know why I love to be tortured like that!

Sounds like everyone got great tickets guys!! I will def. be there for the tailgate!!

It's great just to see y'all again!! I was texting with Denise...parrotnole... yesterday..i think she got shut out. But i am sure y'all got the message that live nation released a bunch of tickets last night. Hopefully she was able to get some.
I agree with Gonzo...VIP parking was great to get in.. you get in earlier, closer to the venue etc. but a HUGE pain to get out..it's worth it just to have the early access to the parking lot and to tailgate with everyone.

Um, last year, um, we didn't really park, in the, um, VIP lot.

Somebody (
me )stopped short of VIP at the nice, grassy strip.
It did allow us to get in earlier and is the closest stumble to the venue. I'd vote for the caravan to get VIP and stop at the grassy strip again this year!

Didn't the lot open around 2 last year? Think they will do the same this year, or possibly earlier?

they opened the VIP lot before noon. i'm not sure how much before, but we got there at noon and there were already a lot of cars in the lot.

And I think the general consensus is that everyone was perfectly fine with that. It's better to get the VIP Parking so we can get in the lot at noon. The fact we can pretty much pick and choose where we want to end up is a bonus.
As far as leaving.. honestly, are after spending 6 hours tailgating and 2 hours in a concert, is waiting 30 minutes to leave that big of a deal? I find that it's a great time for people to unwind, hang out, and say their goodbyes without being 'rushed' (well, until security comes by and bum-rushses you out like they did with us in Va last year!!).

Is it April 21st yet?
We are still trying to get organized but it looks like our group got about 22 tickets (combination of lawn and pavillion). We did not get VIP parking but have always gotten in the lot early enough. We will be across Pavillion Blvd in the lot that has the little island with a few pine trees on it. Hope to meet some of you!

This is looking like a no-go for Phil and me. Getting to Charlotte on Tuesday that week just isn't gonna work.
I sure hope we get to see many of you at the Raleigh show......

I'm guessing it'll be that way for the other shows I plan to try for tickets for too. (Dallas, Alpine, Chicago).
I got my Charlotte & Raleigh tickets the day after they went on sale, and got fairly decent seats. (Section 1 at both venues).
BTW-Sorry you won't be in Charlotte.

Glancing at page 1, I'm really liking that list of attendees so far. I really hate that some can't make it, but otherwise it looks to be a pretty good turn out of familiar faces. Maybe something will work out for the other pholks!
What a great way to kick off the Summer... We have been very lucky in this area as of late. We can kick off the Summer with NC Buffett shows, and wrap it up on Labor Day in Va.
Not so much like a couple of years ago when we had no Carolina shows. But lets not talk about the dark times....

I have to disagree, those are opportunities to get out and see other places. We live in Charlotte, in 2007 we drove 7.5 hours to Pittsburgh for a Saturday show. We had phriends fly in from Florida to meet us there. Then we just hung out with around 21,000 new phriends and had a great time. Sure, 2005 we got a February show (and had to stand in the snow to get tickets in Jan), but we got one. Besides that, in 2000 and 2003 he did shows in Columbia, SC. So I would say we have been pretty lucky.
