I checked the notes from last year and we met at Wendy's at 1:20pm.

Y'all are welcome to do what you want (meet early), it's just worked in the past to try to get several cars motoring in to the lot at the same time and we can't get there until a little before 2:00pm. (with Raleigh being the same week, we've got to squeeze the "w" word in at some point this week )

I'm going to go ahead and send out the tailgate info with the 2:00pm meet time at Wendy's. If there's a group that wants to head in earlier, "No Worries Mon" , we'll do everything we can to link the 2 o'clock group in with the early group (if there is one).

Traditionally, the lots don't get real heavy until 3 or 4 pm

Hey, I just signed up for the forums here. I'll be coming from school close by to see the concert tomorrow and I'm super pumped! (just not for the work that I have to do today in order to survive my Wednesday classes) I've been to a few shows, but haven't done much tailgating since I've been with my parents, but now that I'm in the big bad college world I'm wondering what the best strategy is for having fun with other parrotheads before the show? My friend is driving me and my other friend (who's going with me) to the concert so that way we can actually make it back home, so we won't have a spot of our own to chill. Any suggestions? Thanks, and fins up!

Hey TTG, I will be going with a group of 15 plus, so I won't be tailgating with the BN group. However, we will come and find ya'll! Our group is coming from Kings Mtn., Shelby, Gastonia, Mt. Holly, and Charlotte and we plan to meet in Charlotte at 12 to head to Verizon. I sure hope they open the premier lot early like they did last year! We will see ya'll there!

Hey, quick question. If I'm not actually going to be parking at the venue tomorrow (friend is dropping us off), can we still wander around the VIP parking area before the general parking opens up at 3?

I wasn't sure if the VIP (premier parking.. whatever it's called

) was really THAT special that only people with those parking passes could get in (doesn't make too much sense now that I think about it

)

Also, after the general parking opens up at 3, how long do you think it will take people to really get partying? And how big is the VIP lot, aka can I expect a lot of people to be there hanging out and open to visitors earlier on?

I'll probably still get there around 3, but I wanted to figure it out just in case.
