some Jimmy questions!

Good Morning!
I wanted to ask a question or two and please forgive me if someone has asked these recently as I am new here and a rookie Parrothead!
Did Jane(My Lovely Lady) ever sing on Jimmy's songs or join him on stage? Is she credited with co-writing or writing any of Jimmy's songs?
What are the kids up to? Are any of them budding music artists?
And one more kinda gossipy question--who was Jimmy seeing while seperated from Jane? Anyone famous or just some local lovelies?
take care everyone and hope we all get to see Jimmy this year!

Jane has a co-writing credit for Kick It In Second Wind from the Havana Daydreamin' release.

Jane has songwriting credits for Kick It In in Second wind and Something so feminine about aMandolin. As far as I know she has never been on stage with Jimmy. She is a behind the seens gal.
None of the kids are budding music artists as far as I know.
As for who Jimmy was seeing when he and Jane were separated, does it really matter? What matters is that they were able to kick down a few walls and get back together.

Savannah Jane is a Radio Margaritaville deejay. That's all I know about her.

I miss her show. I hope she brings it back some day.

Jane was on stage with Jimmy once that I know of, but not to perform. When JB played Jones Beach in 2004 (I think, it might have been 2002), the day of the show was Jimmy & Jane's 25th anniversary. At intermission, the guy who promotes the Jones Beach shows came out, said it was their anniversary, and Jane came out from backstage. Instead of videos on the big screen, we got a fireworks show shot off from the beach at intermission.

Larry--that must have been so cool. I can only imagine a fire works display exploding off in the harbor.

That was my first concert. I was still a "Yellow Album" fan at the time and those seats were the best seats I've ever had at a Buffett show. And it was 2002, not 04

I should have known it was '02 and not '04. Last year's JB@JB show was the same date (August 27) and the '04 show was the first weekend in September.

Hey All!
Thank you for all the friendly responses! I am collecting so much info on Jimmy and its all so interesting! I have the Jimmy Buffett Scapebook which is excellent,a Jimmy Buffett triva book, an old Look mag from 1979 with some great pics of Jimmy. Been looking for some old Coconut Telegraphs and Ebay has several I am watching. I would have loved to have been in Key West in the 70s for the beginnings... My guy and I were in KW in the fall and loved it(my first time). I want to go back to look at his old haunts. Love to hear from those who have done that, too.
Once again, thank you for your patience on my questions; just like getting all the facts and fables right and enjoying the Buffett legend.
Tell me more!

Well, if you haven't read A Pirate Looks At Fifty, I highly recommend that you read that book. No second hand information there, and it is a great read.

Welcome to the board. Your gonna love this place. We sure do.
I highly recommend the pirate Looks at Fifty. IMHO it was a awesome read. really give you insigte into how Jimmy thinks.
We also recommend any of the concert DVDs, particularity Wrigley Field. It is a great concert. Also the, Mini Matinee is a good first one but it is way considerably shorter.
Have you started listening to Radio Margaritaville? If not, they have concert replays each week that I think your would love to hear.
We love Key West also. Discovered it before we found BuffettNews and became active Parrotheads. Where did you visit when you were there. What did you like most about the island?

Her show has not been on RM since early 2008. She still does the spots on RM announcing the station. Her show was a Saturday morning ritual for me, and I would love to have it back.

Savvy J also joined in on percussion on a long ago tour. Don't remember where or when, but have seen the video, maybe even own it somewhere in the collection. Somebody here knows though. They always do. No place on Earth or in space like Buffett News!

Hey all--Havent been back in awhile but real nice to see the friendly replies! Thank you for the kind welcome Kruzin! I am reading A Pirate Looks at Fifty( I can relate..!). I looked up the painting(poster) Jimmy talks of in the beginning of the book when he writes of the Pan American Clippers. Real nice poster and I found another with a Parrot and a clipper plane! He writes well and I have learned about many things!
Saw the tour dates posted--may try to get to a Virginia show...
take good care everyone!

It is a great read and definitely gives you insight to the man behind the Margaritaville way of life. Great read.
