The whole thing was caught on video and is kind of hard to watch. It's so sad. He never saw it coming. His family must be devistated. Sail on...
An Ohio promoter for the Motor Sports Monster Truck & Thrill Show has died from injuries after he was crushed beneath a giant truck tire at a show in Wisconsin.
The Saturday night accident comes just more than a week after a 6-year-old boy was killed in a monster truck event in Tacoma, Wash.
Very tragic. Very ironic that only hours before he was holding a press conference to talk about show safety in response to a 6-year old boy being killed at a show a few weeks ago.
How can you walk in front of those trucks and NOT hear it coming?
I saw the video at work last night, we couldn't show it on the news, but how this guy never saw this truck coming is beyond me, he walked right in front of it, and got flattened by the left front tire, and I mean, flattened.
There is no way the driver could have seen him because it happened so fast.
There is footage of a lady who said her 3 year old is devastated to have seen it, when my kid was 3 years old, we went to see things like the "Wiggles" and "Sesame Street", not monster truck shows where the potential for this to happen is there every night, just my little opinion.....

Like we all haven't done something stupid when we weren't focused on the matters at hand. I guess when it's your time, it's your time. Crazy how it happens some time.

FYI, video does not show the collision... not as gruesome as one might think. It stops right before the tire hits him.
yeah. it does. not gruesome at all. have seen videos of people wearing iPod headphones stepping out in front of commuter trains.. this.. was just.. "ZOMG!!!!111!1! this is so gruesome", like the newscasters just got out of Sunday School after a six year diet of Carebear videos.
"Monster Truck Nationals show will be safe, promoter says"
The promoter of this weekend's Monster Truck Nationals show at the Alliant Energy Center said his show will be safe, despite the death Friday of a 6-year-old boy at a similar event in Tacoma, Wash.
"We take many safety precautions to ensure things like that don't happen," said George Eisenhart of Image Promotions in Chardon, Ohio.
"It's still wonderful fun," Eisenhart said. "You're far more at risk of getting injured driving to the event or home with your seat belts on and driving the speed limit."
