They also do a lot of high school graduations at Red Rocks in May (like mine was a gazillion years ago).

Re: We want Red Rocks,Please!!!
Got back to RED ROCKS again for ZIGGY MARLEY at RED ROCKS (GREAT SHOW!!).
I was 10th row center. I turned around, looked up to the 60 rows and Gigantic Rocks in the Sky above me and said, "Jimmy, YOU ARE A FOOL FOR NOT COMING HERE!!!"
The Red Rocks Gods acknowledged me in that moment and I finally made my peace with the puzzled thoughts in my head.

I agree. He has not played there in years. I saw him there the last time he played there. Many moons ago. Why not Denver area in general. Has he forgotten about us?

A few of the first Red Rocks Shows here are being announced.
With holes in the freezer, we come out of hiding to wish yet again for JB at RED ROCKS to miraculously occur.

Re: We want Red Rocks,Please!!!
I second the motion for a Colorado Venue.
Red Rocks would be awesome.
Dick's Sporting Goods Park would be perfect in size and tailgating would be good.
First Bank Center in Broomfield would be alright as they did a good job with the Phish Concerts.
Pepsi Center is always fine for concerts but not great sound.
I will take anything, even BellyUp again, just please come to Colorado. We need to be Mile High in Denver again!

Re: We want Red Rocks,Please!!!
I saw him there last time he played... 6/27/90. He played Fiddlers Green regularly too. I moved from Denver in 1995 to Chicago, and I've been lucky to see him annually since. It's pretty strange he doesn't play Denver more often.
Red Rocks would be awesome... but he'd play a bigger venue. Multiple nights at Red Rocks to meet demand would a dream come true!

Any venue here in Colorado.............definitely!
Why not aim for the stars when you're dreaming though, you know?
Obviously, he has enough money.
If that was the case for me, I'd play Red Rocks for 2-3 nights and not even flinch.
Man, hearing the Coral Reefer Band here at RR would sound amazing in the best outdoor venue in America that boasts the BEST SOUND AND BEST ACOUSTICS IN THE ENTIRE COUNTRY!
I'm not a Kenny Chesney fan at all, but I definitely respect him for choosing to play Red Rocks this Summer.
Imagining a sea of 9,000 parrotheads in the almighty Red Rocks Venue all partying at once would be a sight to behold.
Recover and heal Jimmy and come to your senses! Colorado misses you!

Re: We want Red Rocks,Please!!!
Red Rocks is one of my favorite places on earth... Back in the day he played Fiddlers because it was originally own by MCA, his former record label. The Parrothead vibe is strong in Denver and I don't understand why it's not a regular stop.

Re: We want Red Rocks,Please!!!
I just attended yet another RED ROCKS show back on June 3rd.
It was DISPATCH at RED ROCKS.
Amazing Night at Red ROcks yet again!
RED ROCKS IS THE BEST OUTDOOR VENUE IN AMERICA WITH THE BEST SOUND AND ACOUSTICS ANYWHERE!!!!!!!!
Seeing that Kenny Chesney (no thanks) is playing THREE SOLD OUT SHOWS at RED ROCKS this Summer, it honestly makes me a little more upset that JB isn't going to be at Red Rocks this Summer.
More realistically though, it SUCKS that JB might be skipping COLORADO yet again. Kind of baffles the mind.
I'm going to RED ROCKS again on JULY 9th to see the SOLD OUT show for THE AVETT BROTHERS.
If JB wants to skip Colorado again, it's his loss. We live in one of the most beautiful states in the entire country and we boast the best outdoor venue in America.

Re: We want Red Rocks,Please!!!
I have to agree with MH Pirate, nothing better then Red Rocks. I'm old(er) and saw U2 in the rain back in the 80's, Dave Mathews before the mega fame, Steve Ray Vaughan right before he passed and JB back in the early 90's, no place better on earth for a live show. I am going to the Kenny Chesney show and catch a few others before the summers gone, if you live here, it's a requirement for true Colorado residency. I don't understand the west coast snub, but I can't control any of this. JB doesn't know what he's missing. I guess I'll head out to Sin City for the overpriced October shows unless I hear something soon.
Going where the weather suits my clothes.......

No, it's our loss. He doesn't really care which state his money comes from so long as he gets what he wants. Us fans who don't have time or money to travel out of state for a show, do lose.MileHighPirate wrote:

I have been very anxious to take my wife to her first Buffett show. We celebrate seven years this month. Jimmy hasn't been to Colorado (Aspen doesn't count) since we were married.
Sorry for the rant. At least we got a video game coming out, right?

Re: We want Red Rocks,Please!!!
I was really hoping for Red Rocks or Dick's Sporting Goods Park since it has been so long for a Colorado stop and we were a rather regular stop on the tours. It seems like that won't be a case.
What is even more disappointing is that there aren't ANY West Coast dates besides Vegas. I have done the Vegas thing before but it doesn't have the same feel that venues with tailgating have. Also the $210 price for tix aren't that fun either.
I guess we wait for February / March of 2012 to put ourselves through this all again.

Re: We want Red Rocks,Please!!!
Just want to add some stats to back up this plea to play the greatest venue in the world!
JB Shows in Colorado (the whole state) since teh Millenium
3
The last time JB played the Greatest Venue In the World?
06-27-1990
Fenway and Wrigley are cool and all, but how about a venue that was created specifically for music over a period of a million years?
