Anyone try the Margaritaville Artichoke Jalapeno Garlic dip? Found some at Sams club and thought I'd give it a try.

Just got an email from Live Nation and they are still saying 4PM for the lot to open. Are they just trying for a little crowd control?

I know they say 4, but I will be there around 11:30 with drink in hand and ready to party.

First timer at Lakewood for Buffett..What can I expect as far as parking, tailgating, etc??

If you have ever been to a tailgating for a football game then add a beach theme and multiply that by 10.

Do they allow Tailgating at the parking lot at Lakewood?

Tailgating is half the experience. More than half, depending on who you ask.

Lakewood is definitely going for crowd control with that 4 pm nonsense. Everybody I've talked to plans to arrive around noon.

Has anybody talked with the APHC? With the setup they have, 4 isn't even worth breaking it out of the truck.

I guess just bring enough to share with officer friendly of the APD

OK JUST TO CLEAR THINGS UP... THEY SAY FOUR O'CLOCK EVERY YEAR BECAUSE IT IS LAKEWOOD'S POLICY TO OPEN THE GATES AT THAT TIME. BUT WHAT ALWAYS HAPPENS IS THE CITY OF ATLANTA MAKES THEM OPEN UP EARLY BECAUSE OF ALL THE TRAFFIC THAT BACKS UP. SO IT WILL BE NO DIFFERENT THAN ANY OTHER YEAR. BASICALLY THE EARLIER THE PARROTHEAD NATION SHOWS UP, THE EARLIER THEY WILL HAVE TO OPEN UP THE GATES.... SEE EVERYONE THERE!!!

Gotta throw this post out, I try to every year. (Don't think those here are the ones that need tell'n but I will anyway.) If you bring anything greater than one bottle of water, also bring a trash bag. Every year the place is left a mess and its kinda expected but if everyone helps just a little, it might just not be so bad. I'm editing my stash and throwing away at home anything that doesn't need to be taken down there. Wrappers that decorations, grass skirts, plates, cups, hats, etc come in can be tossed at home. Beverage cardboard containers can be tossed, even consider premixing drinks will help. I'm packing three trash bags but the trick seems to be getting someone to actually put their trash in the things. Lakewood does provide cans but they overflow quickly, especially those right at the entrances to the amphitheater and those near the port-a-johns. Oh, and if you want to hit it off with the ladies, guys, bring a roll of TP, nothing impresses.....OK it doesn't impress them but it does get their attention, more than having a role of Charmin!!!

I don't know if anyone else heard about this, but, Radio Margaritaville just announced that, starting with the Atlanta show, they will be broadcasting "instant replays" of the concerts right after the shows are complete. They said that after a brief break, they will be re-broadcast the concert so that the people who are leaving the concert or those who missed it, will be able to listen to it again. I guess we all know what we will be doing right after the concert. I'm heading up from Tallahassee in the morning. I hope to meet some BN'ers at the tailgate.

Drink, food, grilling, drink, social atmosphere, drink, music, dancing, drink, pretty girls, drink, inflatable parrots, drink, leis, floral shirts, drink, flip-flops, more food, drink, more music, powered rideable coolers, pools, drink, funny hats, coconut bras, pretty girls, drink, fins, games, friends, music, drink, campers, RVs, canopys, drink, decorations, ugly girl (OK there's always one but she's real nice and will share her margarita with you)........Oh yeah, there's a concert round-a-bout 8:00 too! And did I mention drinks?

i paid 25 for the vip parking pass on ticketmaster does anyone know where thats at and how close it is
