Oh my sweet Christine. You will be SOOOO missed. I wish so bad that you could be there with us. But don't you worry. With all of the DD's that you are going to get, you will feel as if you were.flipflopgirl wrote:HulaMoe wrote:I can't imagine a trip to Cincinatti without my favorite yummy cocktail. Weather Channel says:
Wednesday: 30% Isolated t-storms, high 79
Thursday: 60% Scattered t-storms, high 81
I can handle the rain chances and am VERY glad it won't be up in the 90's like last year. It was so hot and muggy, hardly anybody drank a lot of anything except ice water. Rain rain go away don't come to Cincy Thursday.![]()
i miss jimmy at buckeye lake ALOT
How ya feelin this morning?Martyritaville wrote:Ok Mr Buffett, Martin's had enough to drank tonite...so here goes. Posting this in both Cincy & Detroit threads, just because you never know (I remember someone who got their request in Cincy last year -and he was a hell of a guy, as I recall...)
You don't know it, but HulaMoe & I came VERY late to the party - long time fans, but didn't really figger out the concert thang until Charleston & Balcony Girl got us going... although we've got 20+ shows in since that first show in October 2004 but...
The crux of this way-too-long post is, if that incredible PIA & Harp player turns up at either venue...you know who, Greg something or other...I personally would absolutely LOVE to hear the song "Island Fever" in concert...
I know you haven't changed the setlist a whole bunch this whole year - and I'm not complaining, 'cuz it's a good one, but what the heck - you don't ask, you don't get.
Otherwise, if you want to play "Mary had a Little Lamb" - that's cool, too -I'll be there to listen - whatever floats your boat, big guy!(Actually, I"d love to hear Peter's solo on that one)

Marty
Can somebody give me directions to that PWI thread?
I agree Janice, nothing wrong with Wet n Sticky.....maybe it's better in Texas to be that way. Lord knows I prefer to be Wet n Sticky in Texas!!!txaggirl91 wrote:What's wrong with wet and sticky?PartofthePhlock wrote:In Cincinnati if its hot and it rains it gets real sticky.....ewwwww.ragtopW wrote:![]()

We need to do something about your latitude - it never rains on concert daychippewa wrote:With a week to go, I like seeing a rainy forecast. Cuz I know it will be the exact opposite by the time concert day arrives.

That sounds marvelous. And for the record......if it rains you can use my umbrella, I don't mind the rain at allchippewa wrote:Deal. See you next. And if it's hot, I don't mind a little rain. As long as it's not an all-day event.
That's what arm floats are for Cher......PartofthePhlock wrote: that is unless the river rises over her banks.

All things considered, I feel great, just a bit tired. A busy morning helped force a quick recovery. Hey, I had to get some serious practice in, since we're getting so close!chippewa wrote:How ya feelin this morning?Martyritaville wrote:Ok Mr Buffett, Martin's had enough to drank tonite...so here goes.
