We went to the information and sign-up meeting today. Toward the end, they asked everyone that was participating in the events to stand up. Then they asked people to sit down unless they had raised $50, $100, $250, etc. By the time they got to $500, Debbie was the only one left standing. Rather than keep increasing, they just asked her how much she had raised. You should have seen all of the jaws drop when she told them $5,000!
Thank you all for making that possible. It made me feel really proud of what we were able to accomplish together, and it absolutely inspired everyone else in the room!
Way to go Debbie! That is great.
Oh to all of you that sent thanks to me I say give yourself thanks too as we all did this together! Oh and PN see if we can get the dunk tank (BILL STOP READING) rigged so that when Mr Play is in the hot seat close works like a hand gernade
I AM SO THERE!!!!!

I finally got around to uploading my pictures, I'm only 10 days behind schedule. I didn't label all of them because some don't need any explanation and others, well, I don't remember everybody in them. Sorry. I'll put them in the picture thread too.
FYI, Piratenurse has regrouped. I have this week off doing wedding stuff but already have 2 new jobs with old bosses. One is part time consulting traveling around Texas. The other is doing Quality Assurance. Guaranteed flexible hours; it's good to not burn bridges. I worked with one 7 years ago and the other 4 years ago. 2 phone calls, 2 jobs. FYI, I saw my ex-virgin's company is not only running an ad to replace me but to hire an administrator, which was supposed to be her job but which I did and is why I got burned out. Not to mention she was the world's worst matron of honor. Life is good again! See what phin power can do!!!

Debbie and I delivered the proceeds to the National Breast Cancer Foundation this afternoon!
Janelle Hail is the founder, and she wanted me to thank all of the parrotheads for the continued support.
She seemed impressed with the fact we were able to do more with less this time.
Her son Kevin is the COO, and he volunteered for the dunk tank next time around. We may make parrotheads out of them yet!
It was a pleasure and a hell of an evening
Truly was our night to win
But the authorities insist on my leaving
Take care my American friend
I also sent in all of our 501(c)3 paperwork to the IRS today, along with the $750 user fee.
I'm glad I'm not a tax accountant - that's a 28-page form plus attachments!

As the daughter and god-daughter/niece of breast cancer survivors, sign me up for at least $50 worth of baseballs....
Thanks again Bill and everyone else for all your hard work. You made it SOOOO easy to Party With A Purpose!

Wow 501(c)(3) status not bad for a bunch of parrotheads who got waterlogged in a Texas parking lot

That's great good news, Bill. Getting corporate support will be *much* easier (at least for me) now ... I know how much work goes into getting a 501(c)(3) ....
Gentilly ... 42 years is a long time to wait .... a Northeast Texas woman can hope.
My love is an anchor tied to you, tied with a silver chain.
Santa set a great example with his ponytail this year!
Ringling Ringling is following suit with a similar challenge for next year;
If we hit $20k for charities, he'll shave off his beard. He says he's had it for at least 15 years.
If we hit $30k, he'll go completely bald.
Enjoy them both while you can, Todd!

Ok, I decided it was high time to use the YouTube account for the first time...
Can't tell all y'all how great it was to see everybody again and to meet new phriends, too. I won't name names, 'cuz I know I'll forget somebody, so I'll just say "You guys are the best!" and leave it at that. Thanx!
A most mysterious calling harbour
So far, but yet, so near
Where I see the day
When my hair's full gray
and I finally...disappear. BUT NOT YET!!
