Is it Alpine yet?

OK, here is my official stance for this year.

I am remaining out of the "party coordinator" role for this year.
I will be having a small-ish tailgate party with my cousins and neighbors.

However....if anyone wants to caravan along with us, and set up a larger BN-bash, I'd love to see it!!!
We will be caravaning, as usual, from the town square in East Troy at noon-ish....I'll get back to y'all on the exact time.
Any nomads without a party are welcome to set up next to us, we'll all interact, but I just won't be sending out lists and getting everyone together. That's up to someone else this year...if anyone.

Either way, it'll be FUN~~~/\~~~

There are still tickets left for our bus trip to alpine and on our beer deck. They are $250.00pp and include round trip transportation, food, rum punch, ticket to the deck and all the tailgate setup. Let me know if you know anyone that is interested. We leave from Morton, IL which is near Peoria.

I just want to make a special announcement here....

many of you know my friend and Alpine concert buddy Katlyn (her BuffettNews screen name is Cajun)

Congratulations to Katlyn and her husband Steve on the birth of their first child, a girl named Maris Katlyn, on June 8th at 2:29 AM....6 lbs.4 oz. 18 in. She had been trying to "time" her pregnancy to get pregnant after the Alpine show in 2008 (which was successful ) and to have the baby and be back on her feet again before the Alpine show this year...also a success!

she has 12 weeks of maternity leave....which means Maris' birth was timed perfectly so she doesn't have to be back to work until after the Alpine show nice job on the timing my friend!!!!

Well, the route is different every year. We always go west to east and finish someplace along the east coast of Iowa, so unless we wind up someplace north of Dubuque, you've always got Illinois just across the river.... This year the ride ends in Burlington.
And I think the word is "Iowegians".
