Thank you! that is perfect.... we were always in the blue lot or the limo lot, but we used to arrive around 3... this year we plan to get there at noon, so red lot it probably is... Last year parking for busses was 50...talk about gouging!!!

I thought the lot didn't even open until 1. I could be wrong, it's happened once or twice.

a) I was teasing
b) Lots do not open (by ordinance) until 3:00 (5 hours before the show) HOWEVER, once the traffic backup become unmanageable the State Police require them to open as a matter of public safety. This happens somewhere between 12:30 & 1:30 based on my 15 years of attendance.

So planning on noon is fine, but if you come a wee bit earlier you will help us get those gates open that much earlier!

Is it ALPINE yet?

Any plans to meet in the near by town and drive in as a group? I know the group got split up some but waiting in the back of the lot for everyone to get together again seemed to work. I think Jim had us meet at 11:00?????

How about the square in East Troy again at 11:00?

Had to get a fix so I went to 8/09 Chicago show and now I was to go to Alpine even more!!

INFO FROM HEMINGWAY'S: Jolena - if you get a list going of BNers who are coming this year, I will make sure we set up a designated spot for all to meet and greet. Last year we had at least 30 so I am thinking outside on the patio. If you get me names, I will have some type of ID ready for each at the door so we can recognize each other, even through the tequila fog. Also, since BNers have been soo great to South Of Disorder, BBB and Hemingways - those on the list will get the "Steve" discount at the door:-)) Just send me and Johnny up some shots of tequila to keep us going Friday night.

I like your plans!

Have had a few calls regarding food for our PH friends who don't eat/like pork or chicken about availability of other nutritional staples to conteract all the boat drink intake. Fear not, we will have our full menu available to those at phriendly price;-)

The pig/chicken feast starts at 6 and goes until all gone. Our chef also said they will be doing shrimp skewers and cheeseburgers on the patio grill for a minimal cost all day and all nite.

Kitchen will stay open until 1 am on Friday and will open up Saturday at 10am for ommeletes, eggs, etc to go down with the pre show margys, bloody marys and landshark.

As for me, tequila, rum and Jolene's jello shots should provide enough nutrituional value to get me happily through the weekend.

Sometime Friday I want to also get a couple group pics to post on Margaritaville.com after the weekend, will coordinate with whoever the last man/woman standing is on Friday.

For those still needing or wanting transport to show, we have 7 seats left on our bus, and I am working on another bus if we fill up this one in the next couple days.

Am hearing that there are still some rooms to be had around the area for Thursday - Sunday, if you pm me, I will send you the jests and contact info.

Those of you arriving Thursday night, come on over, help set up and I'll buy ya some dinner and a beer:-)))

Last - please oh please have a designated driver or ask us for a ride (we gladly work for gumbo, of which our chef makes wonderfully). All designated drivers eat, drink and enjoy the feastivities on us (let the door folks know you are a designated driver and they will band you accordingly).

Still have some spots available on our bus and beer deck. Contact me at rak@koener.com if you are interested. The bus leaves from Central Illinois and we provide food and all of the tailgate setup items.

Two weeks from today I will be packing it in for the concert!!

Hi all-

I am going to stop being a "lurker" and finally post something. I have really enjoyed all your postings and enthusiam for the upcoming concert. I am a JB newbie and this will be my first concert. After looking around the board and trying to decide the best place to stay we settled on the Motel 6 in Janesville. We plan to take the shuttle on Friday night to Hemmingways and then are taking some kind of a bus/limo to tailgate with some friends before the concert. Hope to meet up with many of you. (Our crew includings 5 super fun gals). Does anyone know - it is a good idea to pre-purchase the shuttle tickets for Friday night or should we just get them on that night? Thanks for your help.
