We also saw last nite's show @ Joe's on Weed and it was a great show, but probably only 50 people in a room for at least three times that, large stage, Boat Drunks did a great job and of course Club Trini (half anyway) were awesome. Nadirah Shakoor, Michael Utley, & Robert Greenidge were joined occasionally by Ralph MacDonald; Jake did his excellent Bubba-esque singing & playing, and it was an astonishing show for a paultry $10 cover. The only sad thing was the low turn out!
Hopefully a similarly great show in Elkhorn (pre-Alpine Valley) will get a bigger crowd! Easily worth the price, even to a cheap b@st@rd like me! And for a charity!
Phins Up!

Agreed it was a great show. A large part of what made it great for us was the 50 people (not 300) that were there. Much easier to see the stage and the band, as well as get to talk to the band members. Surely they didn't make what they could have on the event, but it sure made for a good time for us. Got to meet some really nice Parrotheads in all the way from Saskatchewan, Canada!

Nothing to complain about for my hour drive in to the city compared to their travels! Helps me appreciate the access we do have to JB and the CRB shows in the Midwest!

Any Parrothead Club members that need pavillion seats? Have 2 club seats that became available, but since they are the PHIP tickets I can only sell them to a member of another club(You can always join your local club, or our club, to meet this requirement). PM me if interested. Thanks and see you at Alpine!

Forgot to add that they are together and in sec 201 row x. Since PHIP tickets...no TM/LN fees. $280 + $10 for shipping and insurance. Cheaper than buying directly from TM/LN...or about the same if you are not a member of a club and need to join one. Thanks!

JTS racing, here's a bus trip out of Morton Il. We have traveled with Ryan and have a great time. Is this central enough?

Any updates on what Chicago Bars are providing a bus to Alpine? Looking to see where most people from Chicago are going from.

I've walked and rode bicycle in that area, but that was 20 years ago, and either in daylight or right after Brewer games at the old County Stadium. Used to park my van in the neighborhood by the Best Western, bike through the Woods Hospital grounds into the stadium parking lot, lock the bike at the main gate area, and go in and watch the game. After the game I rode back to the van, stashed the bike, and tossed down a few cold ones at Cesar's (Harvey Kuenn's old bar just a couple of doors down from the Best Western). Also would sometimes walk to Winchesters, and sometime hoof it as far as the bars (The Hayloft, the Play Penn, a couple others) in the area around the intersection of National and Brookfield.
Can't say anything about the BBQ joint. Might not even have been there then.
But Miller Park is a long way from Alpine Valley, and that would undoubtedly be one expensive cab ride. What's this question got to do with this thread?

Wayne, I would say that if you were vulnerable-looking in any way, perhaps not as safe of an area...... however, If my memory serves me correctly, you should have no problems

You will be in Janesville Friday right???
