One of our customers was going to give us backstage passes and Jill's hubby couldn't go so we were going to head down. It's OK, I'll keep my tailgate fund money for St Barts!

Have I mentioned NJ and NY aren't my favorite states, especially for driving? I might stop shaking by tomorrow. Somewhere just onto Long Island (I'm not sure where, exactly) as I was minding my own business in the right lane, a great big pickup going about 80 decided he needed to hit the exit. From the center lane. He either never saw me or didn't care that I was in the way. I have no idea on God's green earth how I avoided him. No idea. There was swerving and slamming of brakes. I didn't roll and didn't hit anyone else. He never changed course or speed so I have to guess he never saw me..... I think the guardian angels got overtime pay today.... I will say this... If you're still talking on your phone in the car by holding onto it, think hard about a bluetooth. I was on the phone, with a headset. If I'd been holding a phone I have no doubt whatsoever I would have wrecked. Either he would have hit me or I would have lost control trying to avoid him....

Bunch of little things ganged up to screw up my plans today. Not the end of the world by any means, but annoying that the day didn't go as planned.

Then my hotel reservation, made in February, is screwed up (I may need to ask one of you if I can put my luggage in your room on Wed. I'm going to have to switch rooms. And pay more. )

So I'll be in hibernation until the show.

Little stuff, yes it is. But I still think I'll practice my duck and cover.....

Ah Jen, I'm so sorry about your drive home but thankful you are ok!!!! You know not to sweat the small stuff. . . and it's ALL small stuff. Hopefully things will go better on Wed. We're there if you need us!
