I don't think you can really see him from the beach, theres a bunch of obstacles but you can hear the show from pretty much anywhere in the parking lot and beach. I'm pretty sure if you hang out on the beach down close to the water you will probably get chased out by the state anyway. I remember a few shows back a couple of guys jumped in the water and swam right over next to the stadium and were fished out by a state park police boat.

Interesting.......as I have been trying to find a way to go to the show. Have a 3 month old, who obviously isnt old enough for the show. But, he loves being outside and perhaps a few hours tailgating and then listening to the show from outside the venue is the way to go.

I cant remember, but does security check tickets when you enter the parking lot?

They did at the last show, but I got there early and showed the ticket so I didnt have to pay for parking for the beach there. Being the beach is closed they might be checking tickets.

I just called Jones Beach, for anyone that is interested, they wont be checking tickets when entering the parking lot

You can always just pull up and tell them that your friend has your ticket and hes already there . I actually don't think they check to closely as there are always a ton of people there who arent going to the show.

That is exactly what I will tell them, if they do end up asking to see tickets. Worst case, I am sure I can slip the guy $10 and get right in.

I called the wife, pitched the idea, and she actually said yes right away. WooHoo!!!! Mr and Mrs Labatt and baby Labatt will be at Jones Beach tomorrow!

Well, now as it turns out we got a call at 8AM this morning that the backstage passes did indeed materialize. The bad news for us is that we can't leave until like 9 tomorrow so we'll miss 99% of the tailgating. ANY help at all on how we can find you guys once we do get there? Maybe we'll get lucky and the traffic will be light and we'll get out earlier than we think.

I'm just happy to be going!!
