In an attempt to get this to 5 pages, we are staying at the Sheraton Center on Queen street. Does the subway get you over to the pre party? I had not seen aything about a shuttle to the ACC. If so, that would be great if it did beacuse the ACC is only a mile away from the hotel to walk back after.
Also, sorry we will not see you this year Barb. Wish you could make it.

I looked up the subway map yesterday, and we are planing to get on at Union Station (by ACC) and transfer at Bloor-Yonge and get off at Broadview, then it looks like about 7(ish) blocks to Whistler's Pub. Unless it rains, then we'll take a taxi for at least the last part of it. It is about 4-5 miles from ACC-Whistlers as best as I can figure.sarabismom wrote:In an attempt to get this to 5 pages, we are staying at the Sheraton Center on Queen street. Unfortunately TO tends to feel hotter when it's hot and colder when it cold.
Where I am sitting I don't know whether we will be hot because heat rises or cold cause we are above the clouds.
Remember a Buffett day is a good day no matter the weather!!!![]()

I am not sure about bringing it over. We have stopped at duty free on the way over to the US and bought stuff and we have also brought stuff from home. I think the issue is returning back home with it. Probably no fear of that happening.
hmmmm lets see .......... a bottle of rum at a concert ..........nope.......no worries about left overs.

OttoCal, yes, take in the Hockey Hall of Fame.
You can see a lot in two hours.
As you would at a tailgate, plan ahead and "pace yourself." (Can't remember who says that.)
Gotta see the Stanley Cup in the trophy room.
Excellent gift shop for hockey heads.
Lots of food and drink in the neighbourhood, steps from the subway, the ACC, Rogers Centre, CN Tower....
The afternoon?
Joe and the rest of the Maple Reefers always throw a great party, indoors or out.
More pre-show pacing...
Have PHun.

That was a fun day at Tinley! It's pretty funny you can share that rum with people and not remember it!caly wrote:My only experience with it is a swig from your bottle in the parking lot at Tinley 2 years agoMigration Michelle wrote:Can you bring it over the border or do they sell it there?!?caly wrote:All in the spirit of phun.Migration Michelle wrote:I AGREE!! Woo-hoo, less than one week away!!
I wonder if I will fit into my COLD-WEATHER tropical attire?
hahaha haven't had to wear that since a MSG show a few years ago. White jeans with large tropical pink flowers splashed across them sure make you stand out in NYC...

Don't tease me like that!!! Not fair!!!
Oh- and since we are having some 'thread envy' about how short our 'Who's going to' thread is... it looks like the Charlottesville thread for 11/17 is only 3 pages long so far

What kind of beer do you think they will be selling at ACC? I am assuming Blue Light will be readily available

Lord Stanley's Mug
This unique destination is located on the south side of the 100-level concourse from sections 106-108. The bar is complemented by an attached customized Molson brewery with the atmosphere of a local brew pub. Under the watchful eye of our brew master the bar serves up a variety of Molson products including premium Rickard's draughts brewed on site. Also offered to our fans at this location is a selection of spirits and coolers. Adjacent to Lord Stanley's is an open concept kitchen where you will find various grilled and prepared foods to complement the energized atmosphere.
Lord Stanley's Mug
Thank goodness it is NOT BLUE!!!
They are a Molson supporter so that means Canadian
and Coors
will probably be the beers of choice. As the commercial says.....
My name is Lori .......and I am Canadian!
