Hey, too bad about no show at Red Rock's I used to live out there back in the early 90's and seen several great show's there. Had to move out here to Hawaii to see Jimmy on a regular basis.... Still tickets available at the Shell for anyone who want to come out. It's a fantastic venue, right up there with Red Rocks.... Only holds about 5000 so not a bad seat in the house and lawn seats go for around $50. Hotels and airfare packages are also pretty reasonable right now.... Come on out to the islands for the weekend at party with us Hawaii Parrotheads.
Aloha

That sounds tempting and I would definitely do it if money didn't matter.
I lived in Oahu on Hickam Air Force Base from '80 to '85. One of the best places I've ever lived.
Seeing JB in Hawaii would be great!

I've been on a hardcore diet for 36+ days now.
HOWEVER........thinking of Oahu made me think of concerts....which led me to relaxation which led to drinks which led to FOOD! BYRON'S DRIVE-IN.
I'd go nuts if I was there right now. Still going strong from what I hear (24 years after I left the island!)

Funny MileHighPirate, thinking of Colorado made me think of Beer..... Especially FAT TIRE, my very favorite beer in the world!!! Just can't get it out here. Think I'd offer you my concert ticket and a place to stay for a Keg of Fat Tire.
Jimmy plays the Shell every other year, and it's smaller that Red Rocks, holds not even 8,000....Guess he just likes the location better.

Hey Jimmy.
PHISH just announced they are going to play FOUR SOLD OUT SHOWS at RED ROCKS this Summer.
Surely, you can match or beat that!

Tickets to Phish haven't gone on sale yet, how can they be sold out?

I admit I don't know much about them, so are you assuming they will??

thought they'd been banned from Morrison? "slight" problems with their fans last time.

Have never seen them live, but know enough about PHISH to know ALL FOUR SHOWS will be INSTANT sell outs.
Their tickets sell out equally if not faster than JB.
Wouldn't be surprised if they add a fifth show.
And, in terms of the "slight" (har har) problems in Morrison many years ago, it IS somewhat interesting they're being allowed to return.

about 2 years ago, I asked Barry Fey why no Buffet, and he didn't have good things to say. According to BF he said JB wants 110% of the gate, so the only money to be made as a promoter was parking and ads. He said he will have nothing to do with JB. (I know he has $ and health issues anyway, so it's a moot point, but just giving a little info).

Just changed the original post in this thread to the possibility that Jimmy MIGHT have one chance to play in Colorado this year.
This upcoming week of March 23rd, they are going to announce the headliners of.....
THE MILE HIGH MUSIC FESTIVAL 2.
Last year, Tom Petty and Dave Matthews Band were the headliners.
Like I've already said, this is an extreme longshot, but you have to hope for the best.
Phins up to a Jimmy Appearance this Year! Here's hoping anyway.
The secret lineup is revealed later this week. Time will tell.

Well, no Jimmy at MHMF.
Widespread Panic is headlining, G. Love and Gomez will be there as well.

There are still some bands to be announced according to the article.

Well this was the last shot for JB in Colorado but it is a no go. I kept on hoping for this Mile High Music Fest option as I saw him last year in New Orleans and it was a similar type of atmosphere in terms of many stages and events. I guess I will just keep living the normal Colorado Mantra for all sports teams and concerts, "let's see what happens next year!"
As I sit here watching our Spring Colorado Blizzard, my mental state is at a JB concert with a nice drink but that is just a dream.

Widespread Panic, The Fray and TOOL are the 3 headliners.
NO Jimmy. Oh well.
In other news, ALL FOUR NIGHTS AT RED ROCKS for PhIsH SOLD OUT within five minutes total.
It was probably more like 3 minutes.
One of the fastest sell outs I've ever seen for multiple nights. Figured those tix would disappear.
Poof. They did.
