I have noticed that JB doesn't do Denver very much anymore. I moved from Denver to Chicago in 1994 and have been lucky enough to see him every year since (with the exception of the Wrigley shows). I first saw Jimmy at Fiddlers Green in 1988, and was at his last performance at Red Rocks in 1990, a couple more times at Fiddlers then I moved.
He played the Chicago Fire stadium for the first time ever last summer. Soccer stadiums are good venues for him, but there's not a lawn for the GA gang... Red Rocks is way too small, and he won't do a multiple-night run because that's not what he does. He's a businessman, and tours the markets where his fanbase is, and he doesn't even have to do that. Not saying Jimmy couldn't draw a sell-out to any venue in Colorado, but for some reason he or his mgmt doesn't see it that way.
Hopefully he will listen a play somewhere in Denver soon... The shows in Aspen must have been incredible.
Maybe he's not a big fan of elevation?
