JB returns to VA for The Labor Day Weekend Show for the second consecutive year!

I booked a room at the Battlefield Best Western in Manassas again this year (our 4th straight time....).

Let the party planning begin kiddies......

Note: Skoolie and Sanjuro are getting ready to hit the road!!! We may be without internet access for the laptop, so this may be my last update. (Some of us aren’t lucky enough to score a two-star hotel at a one-star price!)

CONTACT LIST
I emailed the final list on Monday. If you didn't get the email, then try to get in touch with other tailgaters.It might mean that I didn't have your email address or that I don't have any of your info. Buffetteer rolecall is at the end of this post. The contact list is pretty much for your use if you're trying to track down your fellow tailgaters.

CURRENT PARKING PLAN FOR THIS YEAR:
Meet at Lowe's (get there as early as you wish, but 11 does seem to work out because...) and be ready to have wheels in motion towards Nissan AT NOON.

The point? SECURING CRITTERVILLE GROVE. (as well as getting into the good stuff as soon as possible... rrrrruuuuuuummmm) And it helps to go to the venue together so we can set up together. Note: In order to park close and get under the trees, the caravan parks in the VIP (or premier) parking lot which requires payment AT THE VENUE. Word is it's $30 this year.

GOING TO THE MAC SHOW?
Per Linda:
Dogwood Tavern 132 W. Broad St. Falls Church http://www.dogwoodtavern.com from 3-7 PM. The (VERY) nice back patio has been reserved and it's right around the corner from the State Theater and even faster if you walk through the parking lot out back. They are even going to let us play trop-rock music.

WHAT TO BRING
Smiles and lively energy!
Generally we've shared space and everyone has brought their own stuff/food as well as food/drink to share. So if you've got it, bring it!

But just to have a better idea of what you can bank on being available, in case you're limited in how much you can load up in your vehicle, please PM me if you want to list what you're bringing: such as: EZ Up Tents, grills, tables, etc.

Backstreets77: Cheeseburger in Paradise sliders, BBQ Sausage, maybe Chicken Gumbo, maybe Smores (we use fluffer and chocolate and graham crackers and melt it in tin foil on the grill yummy), Random booze, Jello Shots,Maybe Cherry Bombs
Sanjuro/SkoolGrl: margaritas, chips-n-salsa-n-cheese, some other liquid surprises
Phjrsaunt: phruit, booze

I'm fairly certain Sunseeker can attest that its not the kidney. She seems to be doing just fine!

I'm more psyched about the Nissan shows than I am the Carolina ones. We had a blast last labor day weekend!! (BTW, we booked our room at the Red Roof yesterday for dirt cheap, may want to check hotels now before they get word of a show!)

See I was going to make the MacGruber reference didnt know if itll work. Well use future fatherinlaws hilton points when we get closer. well stay a little out of the way but its cool.

Im thinking lowes for the meet again would work.

Thanks for starting the thread. I was actually thinking of starting a thread entitled: "Who's going to start the Who's going to Nissan 9/5/09 thread?" Being the thread starter is such a serious and important responsiblity, it can't be left to just anyone (like me). :0

I guess we need to start the 9/3 thread too. I'll be going to one of the shows. I met a few people last year and hopefully I'll meet some more this year. And hopefully it won't be 100 degrees. Let the traffic comments begin!!
