Maybe you could go to www.tickerfactory.com, create a ticker, and add it to the original post? Call it a crutch. I'd much rather see you post the countdown daily! [smilie=asa.gif]

A crutch  No tickerfactory going on here. If it is not right I will not be held resposible for anyone who misses the concert, just had to add that disclaimer. Also if it isn't just right I can always take a few days "off" and readjust :D 8)

Glad to hear it! I'll finally get to meet you!

I'm hoping some others are going to start checking in for Thursday. There are still tickets left, so no excuses. I've pulled 100's and lawns.

You mean ... there are people in our area who don't go to BOTH shows? For 30+ years we've been the most fortunate area ANYWHERE, with 2,3 even 5 shows every year consecutive (and I take advantage of every one of them .... the kids can go to community colleges). :D

I'll see y'all on Thursday and again on Saturday.

My keet starts school that day. :-? There's no way she can miss the first day of school, is there? I'd feel terrible if I had to leave the keet & Mrs. Al home to go to the show.

Well, not as bad as I would when I got home. I wonder if I can live in that rv full time.

We'll be at both shows....... 8) And at the Mac show on Friday and maybe another CR will be playing on Wednesday......
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Pinot Noir in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming "WOO HOO"

I don't know what you do for a living, but I think there's a conference in your field taking place that day in northern Virginia. Perhaps you could tell your wife that you'll be doing some industry research for the day, staying the night and you'll be back (and hungover) by 11am (4pm) the next day.

I'm feeling too lazy to look for the answer right now. Where is Mac playing? Who/where is the other one?

lol. Too bad she won't buy that, she's knows me better than that. :D Besides, if I'm already down there (coming from Jersey) I might as well stay for the Saturday show too! Then I'd really be in trouble.

It's a long time from now, I'll come up with something.

Well, traffic is always messy down here during that time of year, you know, with the weather and all. It might be safer if you did stay the extra day or two and waited for the conditions to improve. Rumor has it that they'll be expecting a lot of drunks on the roads late Thursday and Friday, possibly carrying over through Saturday and Sunday. You really should focus on your safety first. Come down early, beat the rush, stay late while things clear up. You'll only have been gone a few days, but the misses will make it seem like you were gone a month. (not in a good way!)

Faced with similar situation... although keet will have been in school since Monday. She's still angry with me for bailing on last years show, so I know there's no way I can NOT take her this year.

Hey everyone. Nice to hear some chatter on this thread. I have this feeling this is going to be the neglected thread (sort of like the red-headed stepchild. No offense to anyone who has red hair and/or is a stepchild or who has a step child).

Funkhouse - Yeah, we should try to meet up; it would be nice to meet you in person. Mac is probably playing at the State Theater in Falls Church. I think that is where he usually plays.
Linda - I came by the big gathering last year but missed you. Hopefully I'll see you this year.
Surf (not to be confused with Cerphe from 94.7) - Go to both shows? Yeah, my wife would laugh me out of the house. So would my liver. :)

Getting tickets was suprisingly easy. My friends and I were all able to get some. We may have a few extra if anyone needs some.

That's what I'm sort of thinking. Spend some time with the family; maybe take a day trip with everyone on Fri or Sat or Sun. That was one of the reasons I'm going to the Thursday show.
