Don't get me wrong, we had fun in San Diego last year, but the parking lot was pretty much dead until maybe 6pm. I spoke with so many parrotheads at that show last year that came from other cities and were amazed at how low key and largely absent the crowd was in the afternoon.
I've never been to a Buffet show in Irvine on a weekday, just Saturdays - is it any better? I would guess attendance would be better being more centrally located.
The good news is, we get two shows again this year and hopefully the legendary Saturday Irvine tailgate party will translate just fine to a Thursday!

I am just plain happy he is coming.

We went to SD too, and were in the lot at 1 PM. They put us in the RV lot, and at least that area had 100 RV's by 3 PM.

The last Irvine show on Thursday was awesome, the RV area was full and the main lot was 3/4 full by 3:30.

i think it was 2 years ago, that i went to the thursday show before vegas on saturday. i got there in the late afternoon, along with what seemed like the majority of the people coming to the show. so it seemed like that even with plenty of notice, most jimmy fans chose to work that day, instead of using a vacation day to party jimmy style. so i ask, after not doing irvine last year, this year jimmy shows no love for a saturday show in s d...irvine....or northern california. so whats up with that?
