I think there are a few players that have to realize playing a sport is a not a right.

Several players are telling the media they were cut, but Coach Tomlin didn't name anyone in his presser.

Among those being mentioned as cut; Carey Davis, Isaac Redman, Antony Madison, Scott Paxson among others.

Pats trade Richard Seymour to the Raiders for a first round 2011 draft pick.

Not surprised at this. From what I have heard that was reported in the Boston media, Seymour was getting disgruntled at how his contract talks were going.

I wouldn't cut and run so quick... I'd always keep Jamal Williams at NT 8)

The trade makes no sense from a Oakland standpoint....they bring in a pro bowl veteran for what?? they aren't a player away from the superbowl...he's 30 in a contract year ( he's not resigning with Oakland ) and they give up a 1st round pick...they need a lot of rebuilding and giving the pick up is confusing!!

I was being half funny but wasn't sure who else would step up if Merriman has to deal with the legal issues during season.

I'm officially declaring the 2009/2010 football season the year of the donkey. I don't know if I'm even going to watch football this year. With peach fuzz for a coach and no offense to speak of, we're screwed.

I hope he grows up, he wound up on my fantasy team as a relativley high pick in the auto draft, I got a pair of winners between him and Crabtree!!

I disagree with you on the AFC South (I think Tenn will be over Indy because I think that Tennessee will try to prove that last season was not a fluke), the NFC North (I think GB will do better than MN but I agree that both teams will be in the playoffs). I think that the Redskins will win 9 games and just miss the playoffs this year. As long as they show improvement, than last year, I think that even an a**hole like Snyder may not be able fire Zorn.

You are a glass is half full kind of a guy, I love it. As far as the Redskins, I am a glass is totally empty and has a big hole at the bottom of it. I'd love 9 wins; I just don't think we will get them. I initially thought 8-8 but I'm not sure if we will even get that. We may start well but I think during the middle of the season our O line will be worn down. But, we will see.
