Re: 2009 NFL Season
I'm glad they cut to the end of the Denver/Cincinatti game.
Rarely do I get to see a miracle ending as it happens other than last second field goals but then those aren't really miracle endings. Great heads up play.

VIKINGS
looked great in the second half. Peterson 180 yards and 3 touchdowns.
Old Brett throws a TD pass to rookie who was 4 years old when Favre first signed.

... and what about Drew Brees for NO? 6 TD passes? Wow.
If you want an experience, go to a Jimmy Buffett concert.

An NFC East slugfest. Santana Moss of the Redskins and Webster of the Giants got into a fight.

Couldn't stand McLoser's whining about his team bringing over Vick when it was reported that he wanted Vick to be part of the team anyway.MammaBear wrote:McNabb broke his ribs...........looks like it is going to be a GREAT season!

You sound like a decent fellow. Can you please explain this for the hard-of-thinking?aeroparrot wrote:After seeing last night's game, I hope the NFL doesn't change the overtime rules. If you don't want the other team to win the game on the first possession of overtime, then don't allow them to score AND then, have your offense score the winning points, otherwise, if you allow the other team to score on the first possession, you deserve to lose the game. No ifs, no ands, no buts.

The NFL overtime system is perfect.
It is designed to do one thing -- break ties.
It does this.
The first team to score breaks the tie, so the first team to score wins the game.

While I really didn't expect much from Chicago tonight I was pretty disappointed with the outcome. But I have a memo for Lovie Smith on the "fake" punt from your own 30....

Re: 2009 NFL Season
Cutler = VERY overrated, at least at this point in his career.
They say he's a franchise QB. Well, maybe, in time, but I'm not convinced yet.
What has he ever won? He was a loser in college and he never had a winning record in Denver.
In time he might be great. But I wouldn't bet the farm on it.
Or two #1 draft picks.

Re: 2009 NFL Season
Doesn't matter to me. I'm just an observer of the Bears' woes, with no vested interest. Here in CowboyCountry, we have our QB. And he didn't cost us a single draft pick:).Lightning Bolt wrote:Out west, we coulda told you that last season!bestseller92 wrote:Cutler = VERY overrated, at least at this point in his career.

It was a great ending. Orton shouldn't have taken that sack though. If they had been able to kick that field goal, a miracle wouldn't have been needed.SMLCHNG wrote:![]()
